overnight stay

we checked in and had to wait for the clerk to end a phone call. Check in was speedy other than that. We planned to use the pool and hot tub but fell asleep. Bill like the big screen t.v.. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We slept in so did not join the continental breakfast.

Just okay...

The room was clean, but dated. For the price I paid, I expected the room to be a bit nicer. Some of the things that stood out to me... Stained carpet (or maybe it was dirty?, poorly painted walls in the bathroom, dated counter tops, sink, and flooring in the bathroom. The A/C looked a little rough, but it was quiet and worked which was nice. We received a free upgrade to pillow top mattresses when making the reservation, which was nice. Somehow I ended up with an ADA room and I'm not sure that I selected that. The pool and hot tub were fine. The continental breakfast was ok, nothing fabulous. They had biscuits, gravy, waffles, 2 kinds of sugar free cereal, plain bagels, muffins, boiled eggs, OJ, and coffee. It had sort of an unclean feel to it, but it could have been because it was so crowded? The plates were cold and wet from being washed, there were no forks, and a line to make waffles on one waffle maker. Would not spend that much money on this hotel again.

BAD

NOT good. They checked us in to a room that had not been cleaned and no clean sheets on the bed. When transferred to another room, the tv did not work, the phone did not work and there was luke warm water in the shower. I would not stay here again.

Horriable Upgrade

When I called to confirm our stay, I let them know we had to have two queen beds plus a roll away because we will have 5 grown adults in the room. When we checked in they informed us that we were "upgraded" to a King Suite, in the "updated" wing. Wow, once we got to the room, I was scared to know how the not updated portion of the hotel was. There was only a King bed and a Hide-a-Bed in the couch, plus a roll away. The room smelt HORRIBLE. The wall paper was half hanging off. The Hide-a-Bed was the worst I have ever slept in. It angled down hill and the mattress was as comfortable as cardboard. The roll away bed was in the shape of a V no matter what we did to it. I was very shocked by this La Quinta as all others I have stayed in have been a very pleasant experiance

Comfortable, clean easy to find hotel

This was a good stay for the price. Basic needs were met plus they had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Registration was efficient and friendly. Breakfasts were adequate with fruit and eggs each day. We stayed here as it was economical and close to the I-5 Freeway. Our visit was to attend a special installation service for a new pastor on Sunday in Monmouth. The front desk was very helpful in helping us get directions for a nice Italian Restaurant on Sat. evening and to get to Monmouth on Sunday. Would stay here again if needed to be in that area.

Ate at an excellent Italian Restaurant not very far from the hotel on Sat. evening for dinner. The front desk recommended it.

Reasonable Value

Near the north Albany I-5 entrance, but still pretty quiet. Staff were very friendly. Rooms, lobby, dining area clean and simple. Rooms pretty well appointed. Comfy beds. Breakfast very average but adequate. HBO guide prominently dispalyed but no HBO available - staff apologetic - not sure why they would keep the brochure. Probably a little higher cost than average for similar. Make sure you book ahead during summer - many contractors seem to stay there.

Friendly staff

The staff at this LaQuinta were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and quiet. It's located right off of the I-5 which means easy access to wherever you're going. There is a Kohls and Kmart across the street and numerous eating options within a 5 minute drive.

If you like BBQ you must eat at Bo-Mack's BBQ Restaurant; 119 First Ave E; Albany OR. It's about a 5 minute drive from the hotel in downtown Albany. Unfortunately, it's not open every day. It's open Wednesday-Saturday 11am-8:30pm

"Unbeatable location for the price"

My business was in Corvallis, but all the hotels were full due to a college football game. The hotel stay was convenient and a good value.

College Football Weekend

Excellent Staff, Comfortable room, clean and well maintained. We had two dinners in the old town area of Albany. The restaurants were in a historic district and were quite different. One was a micro-brewery/ pub and the other an eclectic restaurant with unique offerings and excellent service and surroundings.
