Good times
Having the pool was pretty great, even though the water was kind of cold. The breakfast was pretty spanking, lots of choices. And the free internet was a plus. The staff were friendly. The only complaint I have is that I wish there were more lights in the room.

Nice hotel, noisy toilet
The hotel was nice enough, and right next door to the fair/expo center. Good complimentary breakfast. My only real complaint was that the toilet in my room made a VERY loud rattling noise every time an adjacent room flushed. I called the front desk twice over my 2 day stay, but they never sent anyone to check it out. I had to sleep with the bathroom door closed, and even then was awakened a couple of times during the night when the neighbors flushed.

The Canyon Grill right outside the hotel was pretty good. Steer clear of the funky little fish and chips place in the Monteith area...worst fish and chips I've ever had, and their cocktail sauce was made with ketchup and pickle relish. No horseradish to be had.

Extremely pleased
I was there to take care of my deceased son. The hotel was very nice and we liked the idea of having a good breakfast before we needed to meet with people.

Family Friendly
The Holiday Inn Albany was very relaxing and fun. The beds were comfortable and we always had clean towels. We had a lot of room for our kids to play and television for them to watch. We were located next to the fair which was great. I only wish we had access to a DVD player for movies. I also need to point out that the pool was enjoyable but the temperature could have been adjusted to be a little bit warmer.
