First Business Trip alone!

My trip was for business and this hotel was recommended by the people putting on the sale I was attending. The rooms were very poor and outdated. The ice machine leaked and it was the first thing you seen on my floor. The rooms where good size, but the heater sounded like it was going to take off at any second. The only thing nice about the hotel was the desk clerk that took very good care of me!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

El Vicaro on HWY 51 going towards Oklahoma City. It is on the out skirts of town but it is delicious. I had the Carna Tapita and hopefully it will not be long before I get to eat that again.

Good Deal for the money!

We checked in late, but everything went smoothely. The hotel rooms were quiet UNTIL my next door neighbor's alarm clock went off at 6:30 but I am an EXTREMELY light sleeper. My dad who stayed with me could not hear it at all! I called the front desk and she said she was the only one there so she couldn't check it herself, but she would try to send maintenance first chance (maybe 20-30 minutes later it was off... the alarm went off for over an hour). BESIDES that, the hotel room was clean and beds were comfortable. There was a continental breakfast, that I did not see advertised here, it was pretty typical cereal, pasteries, toast, bagels, coffee and tea. My parents go to OSU home games all the time and have stayed here before (and liked it too), they don't always stay because they have pets and there is another motel that doesn't charge a pet fee (this one is $25 non-refundable). Otherwise I liked it, would recommend it to friends and stay again if I needed to.

You Get What You Pay For.

Smelly hotel. Staff that was disinterested in helping. Off-Duty staff brought their roudy kids to the pool/hot tub and let them run all over the place disturbing paying guests. Some lamps in room were broken.

Stillwater Hotel and Convention Center

This hotel has been around for a long time and it showed. It wasn't bad... it was clean; however, the rooms were small and, although they were clean, they were obviously aged and in need of updates. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. For the price, I expected better quality.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Any of the "3 Amigos" restaurants are short drives away. From Mexico Joe's to Joseppi's, to Eskimo Joe's.
