Wouldn't pay full price
The room was average. Pull out sofa bed was broken and slanted. Major complaint was that there was only one person on staff behind the counter at all times. Notice several employees get frustrated because there was too much to do, could not get a hold of manager, etc.. Took like 30 minutes to check out.

No Pool!
We were disappointed to discover that the indoor, heated pool that I had gone out of my way to locate was dry due to resurfacing. Wish that had not been listed as an amenity. The room was clean and comfortable. No other complaints except that housekeeping was knocking on our door at 9:00a on Saturday. The breakfast was pretty good. Overall, if the pool had been as advertised, I would have been happy.

Early Christmas shopping...
Our trip was sort of a last minute thought, we got online, looked up the motels that happened to be on Meridian in OKC...AKA Airport Row. The places we were planning to shop at were all within a five minute drive, we arrived around midnight and was welcomed by a very nice front desk clerk. The room was impeccable! The only complaint we had was breakfast ended at 9 a.m., other than that, it was very clean, we will stay there again and again!

Just OK
Hotel was clean and good A/C. Three things I did not like: #1- Hotel was no more than 1/2 full and they put me next to a room with what sounded like 3 kids and 2 adults who were talking, laughing, and screaming until 11pm. I was in town for business and they could tell that at check in. Would have been nice to put me away from the loud families. #2- Workout room in picture is MUCH different in person. There is one machine with weights (looks like a bow flex but with some weight options), and a stairmaster/treadmill/bike from 1980. Could use some updating. Plus it's right in front of the jacuzzi (less than 5 feet) and is seperated with clear glass so people relaxing in jacuzzi will watch you work out. #3- When I arrived, I asked the person behind the check in counter how long should I give myself in the morning to drive to Chandler, OK. The employee did not know and didn't even offer to check it out. His response was simply "I don't know." Granted there was free wifi in the hotel so I could mapquest it, but really wanted to know the traffic situation in OKC since I could not be late for a meeting. Overall, not too good customer service with this hotel. I think I paid about $100/night for my stay. Probably only worth $50-70. If I travel to OKC again, I will check out a different hotel.

Chili's apparently is the "happening spot" near the hotel. I would recommend going somewhere else if you are looking for a quick meal before calling it a night. Food was good, just took a while.

Good Hotel Except
Overall was a good experience except the exercise room equipment is very dated and the air conditioner for it was broken during the whole stay which made it very uncomfortable to workout.

Hot and fun in OKC!!
Our first night at the hotel did not go well. We had made reservations for a non- smoking room but instead we were put in a smoking room. It was very late and we we're so tired that we did not want to ask to be moved to a non-smoking room. Next morning we spoke the hotel manager that had reservations for a non- smoking [...] The hotel manager did move us to a non-smoking room without any hesitation, 4th floor room 429, and we were very grateful!!! The room was very clean and free of smoke ordor!! Our rest our stay was relaxing and fun!!

Wingate by Wyndham Oklahoma City/Airport
We were very pleased with our stay. The staff was very helpful and kind. It was close to the waterpark and not far from the zoo and amusement park. There was a good variety of restaurants in the area. The breakfast was very good. We did see ants on the boxes of cereal that were closest to the floor. The pool seemed like it would be in some need of maintenance soon and the spa was not very hot. The room was kept clean over the few days that we stayed. They did forget toilet paper refill and we had to call for it. Overall we were pleased. It was decent for the price we paid.

Bad News
Unpleasant experience from front desk making us wait to not allowing us to change hotels due to unclean rooms, bugs, dirty sheets, non-working TV, frozen air conditioning, being placed on a smoking floor in an alleged non-smoking facility.

Horror Story
It began by the front desk initially ignoring us and then helping a teenager. It progressed with us being placed in a handicapped room that had a giant dead cockroach in the bathroom and used linens and soap in it. That same room had an air conditioning unit that was frozen and making a gruesome noise. We called the front desk from that room and advised them of the problems we were having and they said they would see about another room and call us back (we didn't know if they would call on the cell phone or contact us in that room). After waiting 25 minutes we went downstairs and the two young men at the front desk were laughing and carrying on. They stopped when they saw my husband and asked what he needed he then told them that we had came down from that room because we weren't sure what we were to do and would like to get a room. By then it was after 10:00 and we were tired. We were then given another room that was on a hybrid (my term) floor that allowed smoking in designated rooms even though the facility was suppose to be smoke free (what???) and reeked of smoke. The bed had sheets on it that appeared to be used as they were wrinkled and messy. Then to add insult to injury - the shower look damaged due to a big scratch on its base. Upon closer inspection the runner on the bottom of the bed had some type of fluids on it (I assumed body fluids). If this weren't bad enough we had been told there were movies to view by the front desk when there were none. as their were none. The TV worked intermittently (I guess based on its mood) but looked relatively new. The final problem was the shower and the noise it made when used longer than 10 minutes. I was ready to leave but my husband said that with the 100% guarantee that he thought the hotel management would somehow make it right with us tomorrow. In the morning after sleeping poorly as the air conditioning ran all night as it had a knob to turn it on or it could be placed on one of 3 levels and then would stay on unless manually turned off. [...] I rate this a 1 or less. Travelers be extremely wary of this hotel as we tried to change hotels the next day after taking all of our things out of our room when we went to our business meeting (no safe or security offered that we saw) and were told since we didn't advise them till after noon that we wouldn't be returning that we would not be refunded for the upcoming nights stay much less the night we had already endured. This is the worst service and hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in hotels across the nation for over 3 decades. Don't come here!!!

Nice Place
Hotel was clean and nice. Was very close to some nice eating establishments. Only issue was they came in and changed my A/C unit out during the day while I was out without notifying me. Not a big deal really, but a notice would have been nice.
