Slow weekend in OKC
Tulsa girl Nov 29, 2009
The hotel was half empty, but we got the room next to the noisy and malfunctioning ice machine and there was a leak in the ... bathroom. The fitness center was great with a nice touch - a complementary fruit basket. The sauna, pool and hot tub were very nice. Complementary breakfast in the morning was incredible - delicious and a huge variety of dishes. The staff in general was very polite and helpful.

Hotel was chosen for convention at convention center. Easy access to the convention center via the Skybridge. The locaton was ... fairly easy to find after one way streets and local construction. Website indicated that rooms had refrigerator and microwave. Even the "minibar" refrigerator was inaccessible. When the parking valet moved my vehicle while I was checking in, he totally readjusted my seat. Parking garage was a block away at $7 per night. I did not use the valet parking option at $26 per night. I like to take soaking baths, but the tub would not hold water. My mother really liked the desk chair that was in the room, a real task chair. She moved it about the room and sat in it to watch TV. I usually don't pay this much per hotel night.

I have stayed at various 4 and 5 star hotels, and I have never been treated as nice as the hotel treated my family. I will ... only stay at this hotel in the future. There was a manager there named Matt that was the most professional and friendly person I have ever dealt with and my family really appreciates the hospitality and service of this fine Hotel!!

Be Prepared to Fork over MORE $$!!
Whitney Aug 16, 2009
If you are looking for a hotel that is not a roach hotel, I would suggest staying in one of the higher end not so nice ... hotels. This hotel and other fancy hotels nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING!! They charged me 50 bucks to park and I only stayed there ONE night! I already paid 140 for the room right? So parking should be FREE right??? Along with internet access?? WRONG! I will never stay in a hotel like this again. They all nickel and dime you for EVERY little thing where as if you stayed in one of the lower end chain hotels, you get internet access and parking for free or you might have to pay like 4 bux for internet. I will never ever stay in this type of hotel again. Their nickel and diming schemes are sssooo not even worth being in the nice hotel.

Nice hotel...bad luck??
Texaswife Aug 3, 2009
The concierge I talked to, [...], was absolutely fabulous!! She even offered to help me out on her day off! Website ... advertised minifridges in every room--NOPE! (and this news after transporting an ice chest of goodies from Texas) The claimed they had no more to offer, but one showed up at our door about an hour later. Our original room backed up to the ice machine...can you say HORRIBLE night?? They had no fans/noise makers, no more rooms, and we ALSO shared a wall with someone who banged around from 1am until 5am. We demanded (nicely) a different room the next day...they tried to put us in another one that ALSO backed up to the ice machine (um..did you hear anything I said??). After two more trips down to the lobby, they finally upgraded us due to all the hassle. After that, it took about 3 hours to locate our fridge...which had my husband's birthday surprise in it. NOT a good trip, but they tried to be accomodating. I truly expected more from a hotel that is so expensive, but looks like La Quinta would've been a quieter, more economic choice...

mack Aug 3, 2009
Wife fell backwards out of bathtub, relatively unscathed but could have been fatal. There was no safety mat and bottom of tub ... was concave with no place level to stand. Noisey neighbors woke us up at 1:30 in morning, had to call security.... no apology at check-out. At check-out, someone had charged our room with a bar tab, removed after some delay.

Comfortable Rooms, Friendly Staff

Very close to Bricktown! If you valet with the hotel, they offer a limo to and from the hotel, but Bricktown is only a safe ... 5 minute walk away. Very friendly staff...they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. This hotel was recommended to us, and we'll recommend it to others.

Bricktown Canal is a lot of fun! We had a great time at the Bricktown Brewery and Maker's. Be prepared to pay a cover charge at most of the bars at night. Anywhere from $5-10 a person. That was kind of a drag, but overall it was a great place to visit.

NO sleep
Sleep deprived Jul 26, 2009
The actual hotel was nice, but at about 2:00AM both nights we were a waken by people laughing, talking and screaming loudly ... from the bar area down stairs. This lasted for at least two hours, it was very frustrating that the hotel did not do anything about the noise. Also our TV would not work half the time. The hotel was within walking distance to Bricktown, we could just walk to wherever we needed to go and Bricktown was really nice.

Park your car at the hotel's parking garage and walk everywhere, although it cost us $18 to get our car out after two days, parking down town ranged from two to five dollars and was almost impossible to find.

The Deej Jul 20, 2009
My girlfriend and I decided to go to Oklahoma City for a getaway weekend and had a fantastic time! The hotel is in a great ... spot, the staff was incredibly friendly/helpful, the room was extremely clean and it just felt comfortable. The only real issues that we had was having to pay for parking and a few inventory issues at the bar downstairs. Would definitely stay again.

We celebrated our son's 12th birthday and he wanted to stay at the hotel; we walked to brick town and ate with family for his ... birthday. He loved the pool and the coffee shop. We have stayed here several times and all have been wonderful. The breakfast buffet was great and the valet parking worth it as it was so hot.

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION

LOVE THE HOTEL! THEY SEEM TO HAVE PROBLEMS AT FIRST FINDING OUR RESERVATION. WE WERE TO STAY 2 DAYS, AFTER THE FIRST DAY WHEN ... THEY FINALLY FOUND OUR RESERVATIONS. THEY CALLED OUR ROOM AND SAID THAT WE HAD OUR ROOM BOOKED FOR ONE DAY. THEN THEY FINALLY FOUND WHERE WE HAD THE SECOND DAY RESERVED. THAT WAS THE ONLY PROBLEM WE HAD.

Spend more and stay at the HILTON!
Disappointed couple Jul 5, 2009
Choose the hotel based on location for 4th of July festivities. Unfortunately when I got there they claimed they had issues ... with Orbitz and did not have on file that I had already paid for the room nor did they have a room ready. The pool was disgusting. Small, cloudy and band aides in the water. Thankfully we were not in the room very long and only stayed there one night. I'd suggest spending more and stayin at the Hilton which is equally as close.

Nice, clean hotel. Bed and linens were comfortable. We arrived late and left early so we didn't experience a lot of what ... might be offered. My wife got a massage on site and was pleased. We valet parked and they charged $25, which seems a little out of line for this market. Otherwise, we would recommend.
