Perfect for Fort Sill Graduation

I went to Lawton to see my husband graduate from bootcamp at Fort Sill. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the base. I had a ... great stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone going there.

I was visiting my boyfriend who is in the army. The hotel was close to the base, mall, and restaurants. I am extremely bad ... with directions, the hotel staff were very helpful with getting me where I needed to go.

I wasn't there long enough to explore the nightlife (if Lawton has one!). However, the mall, base, and dining is about a ten minute drive from this hotel.

I just went to see my boyfriend that is station in Fort Sill. It was raining the whole weekend so we didnt make much. There ... is not a lot of choices for eating so you have to take a cab to go. And the breakfast is not bad but can be better. The rest just perfect!!!!!

I went to a few bars and drove around town. It is a quiet city/town... it was very different from where I am from and what I ... am use too. The pace is slow and not much to do.

My review of SpringHill Suites Lawton

The hotel was clean & near events we were attending on the weekend. I especially appreciate that the ENTIRE hotel is smoke ... free. The continental breakfast was much more extensive than I am used to seeing in a hotel. The staff was friendly, pleasant and very helpful. The only minor irritation was that I requested a handicap room and the bathroom, while it had a grab bar in the tub was not otherwise handicap equipt. Room was equipt w/fridge & microwave. Popcorn & other M/W snacks were available for purchase. Very convenient.

There is no restaurant in the hotel but it sits directly behind a Cracker Barrel. Very convenient.

Very Clean, Nice Hotel

The Springhill Suites was a nice, comfortable hotel. Nothing fancy, but the rooms were clean and large. A frig and microwave ... were included, although no freezer in frig. A large desk and adjustable chair were in the room, making it easy to do work on my laptop. The internet connections (both dial up and high speed)were clearly marked with all cables provided. I always wish for better reading lamps and larger wattage in the light bulbs when I'm traveling. Although Springhill used the standard, inadequate for normal human eyesight, bulbs, they did provide a separate reading lamp next to a comfortable chair. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. Extra blankets and pillows were in plastic wrap and looked pristine. The shower had a shower rod that curved outward, making the interior of the tub/shower combo very spacious. Great water pressure. The tv reception was nothing special. And to my dismay, no TNT, so no viewing of The Closer. I didn't use the indoor pool or the fitness room but they appeared to be adequate - and like everything else in the hotel - clean. A Cracker Barrel Restaurant is just across the parking lot - easy walk. Security was excellent and no problems with parking.
