better than i expected
The room was brand new and the staff very friendly and helpful. My one and only complaint is when we checked in our room was located near the second entrance and as we entered the air freshener or whatever they use was very very overwhelming. I am a 40 yr old recovering from openheart surgery and it gave me chest pains to smell so much stuff. Lucky for me the room smelled normal. the next morning the smell was gone they had the windows open and it was much bettter. I did not complain but was pleased to not have to worry abt chest pains a second day. Breakfast was average and the coffee was pretty good.

Short drive from hotel
Route 66 museum is worth a look and montana mikes is a pretty good place to eat. There is also a Del Rancho on Gary blvd for people who like those steak sandwich supremes.

Good for the price!
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was worried when I saw the train tracks next to the parking lot, but I never heard the train while I was there. It looked like the interior had been updated recently, and everything was clean and neat. Our room was on the small side, but it was comfortable. The A/C unit was kind of loud, but you could open the window instead to sleep. Breakfast was pretty basic but good with orange juice, toast, English muffins, some sort of pastry, a few choices of cereal, fruit, and waffles. Overall, I had a good stay and was very pleased with the value.

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND THAT IS SOMETHING YOU DONT GET A LOT OF,THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF DAYS WAS NOT PLACED ON THE ROOM KEY SO WE WERE LOCKED OUT OF OUR ROOM FOR A SHORT SPELL.HOUSEKEEPING WAS A BIT EARLY AND SEEM TO BE A BIT EAGER. YOU COULD HEAR PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING THAT WENT ON IN THE OTHER ROOMS UNLESS YOU WERE MAKING NOISE URSELF.

lil bullit
maid knock 8:00am on door bfore chekout
swosu football game we left food in frigerator noticed later that the cord for the microwave & frig didn't not reach the socket nor was it on so i had to throw my food away was upset that the maid kept knocking on the door way before checkout causing us to lose sleep and we were pratically kicked out at 11:00 am
