Microtel Inn And Suites Claremore

Hotel is fairly new, clean and staff was friendly. Room was rather small although it adequately met our needs for a rest stop during our trip.

This was my first stay at a Microtel. I thought that the bed was very comfortable - nice sheets and soft pillows. The regular rooms are super tiny. There was just enough space to walk around the bed and that's it. The major problem I had with the establishment was the amount of bugs I encountered. The continental breakfast has gnats in the juice maker, bananas, and muffins. I had lifted a banana out of the bowl and a whole swarm took flight. The same thing happened after I tried to get apple juice out of the machine. There were other beetle looking insects on the ground near the breakfast. I also found a couple of the same beetle like bugs in the room. The Microtel was comfortable, but there were too many bugs. I will not be staying here again.

I was hoping to have the amenities like an in-room coffee maker and a refrigerator (we had neither). The room was really small and cramped. The location leaves a lot to be desired. You can't get to it if you are going south on Hwy 66, only if you are going north. In addition the one entrance they have is not well marked - it is just a little narrow road next to the Microtel sign and way down on the bottom is a small arrow pointing toward the hotel. The breakfast was nice and the beds were great -got a lot of good sleep, although our room was downstairs and I would awaken when someone came in the back door as it would slam and make a loud noise. The staff was friendly. No restaurants real close by tho.

The location of the motel, could not be better. My sister inlaw, lives two blocks away. We visit offften. And we plan to stay again. The room was clean, but very small. Check in, was fast, and pleasent.

i was a little leary at first...l was surprisingly pleased. the staff was very accomadating with my late check in. they didnt even seem annoyed when i called 5 times trying to get directions... they even helped me get to area atractions. the room was very clean, and quiet. i was also very surprised to find more than a continental breakfast provided the next mornng, to include fresh belgian waffles bagels, yogurts, muffins, cereals, donuts, etc,... and a wide variety of coffees. the dining area was clean and well kept. i was really pleased also that no one from housekeeping knocked on my door or better than that just opened it 2 hours before check out. i would stay there again in a minute!
