Ada Oklahoma offers a variety of recreational activities which include a strong tennis program, four softball fields, two golf courses, fishing, hunting and a skeet range. The area is nationally recognized as a coon hunters' paradise with several different hunts scheduled. Wintersmith Park offers something for everyone--walking trails, fishing, games, rides, zoo, flowers, wildlife and picnic areas. The city is also a natural center for rock hounds far and wide, as it is within driving distance of rose rocks, trilobiles, braachipods, crincio bulbs, and the largest example of Callixylon, or primitive wood, known to exist. At the La Quinta Inn & Suites Ada you can enjoy our business center, fitness center, guest laundry facility, and your pets are welcome. Never stay here again

This was just a short overnight stay. Problems, no heat in the hallways, and no heat in the bathrooms to start with. No insulation in the walls! You could hear everything in the next room! There was a coffee pot, but only 1 creamer, 1 sugar and 1 sugar substitute. The morning "free breakfast". I understand why it was free. The eggs were cold, the bacon was very undercooked, the biscuits were hard as a rock! The gravy was fair and the best thing about the entire thing was the make it "yourself" waffles. This is a new hotel, we expected much more. Don't know who the builders were on this, but they certainly didn't spend the extra needed to make this a QUALITY hotel. My sister and her husband also stayed at this hotel on the same night and share all my opinions. None of us will stay here again.

Has a free breakfast. The waffles were great, but the scrambled eggs were not good.

Very friendly, not bad for Ada

I've never stayed at a hotel in Ada before, (I've always just stayed with family,) so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff, the ease of check in, that traveling with my dogs was no problem, and how clean everything was. Every time we entered or left the hotel, someone was cleaning something, even shining the elevator doors. The only detriments: I would have liked to have been able to close the black out curtains all the way (they were bolted open) as I was hoping to sleep, without waking, past sunrise. The remote control in the room didn't work. We took it to the desk and they replaced the batteries with no questions, but it still didn't work. At that point, and since we weren't planning to watch that much tv, we just left it. I'm sure if we had brought it to their attention, they would have done what they could have to fix the situation. And lastly, someone was vacuuming in a room right next to ours at 7:30 or 8 a.m. It was REALLY loud and woke all of us up. Honestly, I got a really poor night's sleep due to the windows and the noise.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There are several new restaurants along Lonnie Abbott Blvd, but don't overlook the Ada classic serving Mexican food since the 1970's, Polo's Mexican Embassy on Main Street. I grew up in Ada and have lived in Dallas for almost 10 years, but still try to fit in a visit to Polo's at least 3 or 4 times a year. We celebrated all our special occasions there. If you mix the mild salsa with the hot the consistency and heat is better. I recommend their queso fondido with mushrooms!
