Motel 6 Toledo

The stay was just an overnight since I was just passing through. The check-in area, made me feel like I was in a bad part of town, since the person was behind a glass window. When checking in, it wasn't made clear that A. there was an additional fee for wifi and B. That wifi was only offered in certain rooms. I was baffled by that, considering most hotels, now, offer wifi as a free amenity. When arriving at my room, there were no bath towels. The temperature controls weren't sufficient...either it was too hot or too cold, even on the lowest cold setting. The hallway smelled like smoke.

Motel 6 has definitely improved. It was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly.

I was in Toledo for a job interview and just needed a cheap place to stay. Motel 6 was perfect for that. [...] I was able to get a very tasty pizza delived.

We were given a room & when we opened the door notice that the bed was not made & beer bottles all over the table. Went to the office, that told us "they didn't realize the previous customer had left"..In other words, a room that they thought was already taken?..They gave us a 2nd room & the ceiling above the shower was covered with black spots & an eye contact lense was on the baseboard below the toilet paper. We also booked a room with a queen size bed & was told they had none left & ended up with 2 full beds.

Room was clean - had to go back to front desk and get roll of toilet paper of which there was none in the bathroom or on the spool. There was still leftover soap and shampoo in the tub from previous occupants. Room was supposed to have been a non-smoking room but I could smell that smoking had taken place either in that room or an adjacent room. All my clothes picked up the smell of cigarette smoke.

Toledo Motel 6 check in was 6 PM,Desk Clerk's greeting was negative and sharp;claimed she needed sleep.When I park,2 motel employees were working on something clear accross parking lot;when one yells outhey I want to drive your car.There's no place to hang up garments.Everywhere I sat there was moister;got wet sitting on bed.Like the cranky motel clerk,I also was tired,yet I was woke at 11:30 PM.Two motel guests,or residents were yelling and screaming in the parking lot.One was driving a pickup ,the other was riding in a grocery buggy,pulled by that pickup ! I had a 2008 Corvette parked in last spot.Went outside and stopped them;then to the front desk;she went outside and seemed to know them well.

The Motel 6 in Toledo was what we were looking for- we needed inexpensive lodging with a reasonable drive time to 5th 3rd field. The motel was fairly well kept up and the rooms were ok. The neighborhood seemed safe enough, and there were several restaurants within close driving distance. All in all it met our needs, nothing fancy, just an inexpensive place to stay in Toledo.
