UGH...clean shower PLEASE

The section of the hotel was apparently under renovation. The room was recently painted and the paint fumes made us half sick. Had to open the window to allow us to breath. The bathroom needed help! The shower/bathtub looked like someone emptied the contents of a vacuum bag into it. We were unable to use the shower or tub. It was awful! The continental breakfast was poor. The breakers kept popping leaving the gravy for the biscuits and gravy, COLD.

hotel stay in Springfield, Ohio

This hotel was quite cheap compared to the other ones in the area. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The shower/hot tub in the same room as the bed was interesting. If you are looking for a couple of nights without all of the other expectations that go along with hotels/motels this is the place to stay.

They're Trying...Price was good

I was staying there because I had a wedding in the area along with relative in hospital I wanted to visit and the location was perfect. The front desk gave us two room keys but one of them never worked and I was too busy to request it be corrected. The parking lot has huge pot holes in it and my rental car hit them coming in during the night time. Furniture in room needs updating for sure. More attention needs to be paid to the cleaning of corners and spackling of cracks. Needed to ask for the vanity lights to be fixed in bathroom.

Bad experience!!!!!

This room was not ready for renting. No coffee pot, telephone, telephone book,no ice bucket in the room, remote for tv needed batteries, baseboard covering was coming off, when we used the "makeshift" shower, which had been mickey moused in the sunken tub, it leaked into the other part of the room and got the floor wet on the otherside of the wall. The young man at the desk tried to help but it was beyond help. It turned cold in the night and the heater did not work either. Came on for no reason in the morning about 7:30. Just an all round bad experience. We tried to remember they were remodeling, but they shoud not have been letting out the rooms since they were not ready.

Horrible experience

We had a reservation at the Days Inn in Springfield, Ohio. It took 20 minutes for the desk person to get the computer up. There was no one else in the building at all that I could see. Then he looked outside at the van and said that I had to get rid of some kids before he would rent a room to me. I tried to tell him that we were meeting relatives at the Cracker Barrel next door, but I wanted to check into my room so I could change the baby before we went to eat. I told him that we were meeting all of the relatives at the Cracker Barrel and I had some of the cousins with me so my kids could visit. I also explained that all of the kids would not be coming to the room, it would only be me and the baby going to the room. He walked outside, looked in the car, returned to the building and said, 'get rid of the kids and then I will give you a room'. (There were 4 kids and my husband in the car). I told him that I would not do that, so he would not give me a room. This hotel is large, and there were only 2 cars in the parking lot. Other hotels nearby were very busy. We went to Cracker Barrel without booking a room. We did not stay at the hotel, there were only seven cars in the parking lot after we ate dinner, and that was around 7 p.m. Also, I tried to call the hotel the morning I made the reservations, and no one answered the phone. I assumed there as a wrong number on the website, but now realize that there was probably no one behind the desk to answer the phone. Not a good experience at all.

Needs renovation

The Days Inn at Leffels Lane and I-70 is in a great need of renovation. The lobby had wilted plants around a 70's style pit and furniture. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the frame work around the sliding door was barely hanging up. MOLD and MILDEW around the sliding door. The bathroom floor was gross and bathtub didn't look clean. Security - we were in the back of the hotel and the entrance/exit door did not lock. The carpets needed cleaning and the carpet in the hallways needed stretched to take the humps out. There was an indoor pool which was drained.

My review of Days Inn Springfield

I've used this Days Inn before when I was in town for the Antique Fair. It's a little dated but clean and near the fairgrounds. Very easy to find and there are restaurants very close by. The price is what brought me in and what keeps me coming back.

There's a Cracker Barrel restaurant right behind the motel and several other restaurants a short drive down the street.
