Review of Homewood Suites by Hilton Cleveland-Solon
Would not recommend
Just a guy and a gal
Aug 4, 2009
The staff seemed very new and inexperienced when we checked in (4:30 PM) and she had limited knowledge of the hotel room locations. When we asked for a dining recommendation, she and another hotel staffer had only one recommendation and it was not
to our liking (we checked it out ourselves). We felt totally on our own and drove for some time, before giving up and ended up back at the hotel area. We did dine at the Longhorn and it was a very positive experience, however, we do not generally choose a beef specialty restaurant. No sea food in the area. We would definitely not choose tis praticular hotel, but did find the hotel theme, in general, very nice. We would chosse this chain in the future.

Don't expect any help from the Hotel staff. They seemed to be very inexperienced and could not recommend any restaurant. Their hotel website was great, but there was no concierge and the hotel brochure and their list of restaurants was outdated to say the least. The Longhorn restaurant was excellent and if you show them your room key, they will give you a 10% discount (the hotel staff was clueless the they gave a discount).
