kids loved rain water park

Our younger daughter loved the water park, she is 6, and the slides were a little scary for her at first, but then we couldnt get her off. our oldest daughter who is 17, loved the bowling and the lazer tag, which she beat me in! but me and my wife found the place to everything our family needed without ever having to leave!

Dirty hotel and unfriendly staff

Hotel was dirty! The girl who helped the guests at the top of the stairs at the entrance of the slides and the girl that checked us in were the only friendly staff we encountered. People were reading the paper at the front desk, staff was sitting in the sofa in the lobby. No one smiled! My family was not made welcome at all. We felt we were putting people out. For instance, when we asked about the price of the virtual golf, we were told, "Read the sign, it's all up there" Will not return!

Family overnight trip

When we went to our first room, we were overwhelmed by the smell of smoke in the halls. when we got to our second room, it was not as bad (as long as the window was open). We ended up having a "contest" with our kids to see who could run through the hall the fastest because of the smell of smoke. However, the best part was the water park area. Size made it super easy to keep an eye on the kids and it was perfect for them! Also, because you could see both kids at once, that made it easier for Mom or Dad to sneak down a water slide every now and then.

It was ok

It was an ok stay. We got there about 11 PM on a Friday night and the bowling ally was closed and so was most everything else in that part of town. Sure wish the bowling ally was open a little later.

Stay on November 18th was not so good

The big issues for me were: the place had an odor to it that smelled like stale cigarette smoke, I had to kill a rather large cock roach running around the desk as I worked on my computer (thankfully it was in the morning just before leaving) and the coffee pot had grounds in the holder left by the last user. I will not be going there again and will discourage others from doing likewise.

Good for the price - Kids loved it.

Hotel was good for the price. Kids loved the Laser Tag, bowling, Arcade and indoor slides (not really a water park) but they got bored quickly with outside pool (size of 2 hot tubs together). Over all for the price and locatin to Cedar Point we would stay again.

Entertainment tip: In Hotel

If you eat in the Hotel Resturant (attached) it had a great sports bar feel and you got free bowling with each meal.

Friendly staff, trashy clientele

Very loud clientele. Very nice and patient staff but the hotel has definitely past its prime. Smells old, carpets are well worn.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

It takes 10min to drive anywhere in Sandusky. Go past the mall away from Cedar Point and the hotels are quieter, cleaner, newer, cheaper and all have indoor pools.

Very small children friendly

If your going to cedar point its the best place for the money to stay but other than that no because there is no pool, indoor rain room yes very nice but the max. The room was clean, but mold on one wall other than that its ok.P.S. The bowling alley is cool but the lazer tag is outrageous!!
