Howard Johnson Inn - Sandusky Park N. Entrance

we checked in at 3:30am to a dark room.why? because the light was not plugged in to the wall switch. to do that i needed to crawl under a desk. but first i had to find another light at an opposite end of the room. For Me that is difficult I Have Night Blindness. the room was small with 1 dbl bed a very tight bathroom [i'm a size 3]my son is 6'185lbs just about had to jump in the tub to close the door.but that's not so bad. we were there to go to ceder point.at 9:15am i visited what they refered to as a breakfast bar a dismal selection of dry cereal. i left ..when we returned at 4:45pm our maid had decided that our entire room did not need to be done!!!!so she left some towels by the door and that was that. you see my son had left his backpack ontop of the bedspread,policy is to not touch a bed that has anything on it. o.k. I can deal with that. but to ignore used towels,trash, used coffee pot,no refills for the coffee pot,night tables had glasses from the morning still on them. we checked out somewhere between 10:30 and 11:15pm that same day. A HOTEL HAS ONE RESPONSIBILTY. TO PROVIDE A CLEAN ROOM....SO, that's my tail of my stay at Howard Johnsons in Sandusky Ohio.

At check -in the room was not ready. No towels, soap, or remote in the room at check in. we were under the inpression that all rooms had friderators in them and some type of sitting area, but only some rooms had them. Hotel staff (front desk) were very unfriendly and un helpful.

Stayed in what looked like one of their dumpiest rooms. T.V. recepttion was horrible on all stations. Room did not smell real clean.

While this location had a great location (right next to the Cedar Point Causeway), it was not good in everything else. The rooms smelled like must and mildew. The alarm clock didn't work and the front desk did not provide the wake up call that was requested. If you are looking for a bed to sleep in and nothing else, then stay here. And I wouldn't pay more than $50 for it.

place needs renovated really bad. the room was clean but i woke up with bugs on my feet. and had bite marks.

My plans changed and I attempted to contact the hotel to see if I could switch the dates of my stay. I called and no one ever answered. They had no voice mail. I tried sending them a fax and it would not go through. I contacted the corporate offices and they said they couldn't help me. [...]I will not make any reservations at this hotel again.

Well when we got there it looked scary from the outside because it was right next to an abandoned mcdonalds it doesn't look appaelling at all.... we got in the room and the air wasn't working it felt like a fan the whole time we were there 3 days.... the room was in need of an update and bathroom as well... it had rust and grim all over the bath tub.... But the location was great thats about it.... Cereal for the breakfast!!!!

that was not a hotel, it was a motel. everything was small. im 6'3 and sleeping with my wife in a twin size bed for a week. on the web site it stated double bed. but it was only one bed. they said you have to check two beds, not double bed. what in the hell is a double bed? when I go buy a bed it is only four sizes: 1.twin 2.full 3.queen 4.king. and the rooms that we rented was motel size romms. my wife was not happy at all. they pack up the breakfast at 9am. i guest you get what you pay for. Very unhappy, felt dirty, water backed onto feet in shower, sink did not drain, previous guest hair in tub, toothpaste spray left on mirror from previous guest, rug was so dirty our feet were black, beds were way to worn in, no extra pillows in room, cushions on chairs in room very soiled, chips left in side of chair, very poor cleaning. Will NEVER stay again in HJ hotel or motel. [...]We left a day/night early due to the above.

where i come from howard johnsons is a fairly nice place to stay.not in sandusky! my family and i take a trip every year. this was the worst experince ever! we had to move to a different room @ 11:00pm because the heat was unbearable.
