We went for Halloweekends. Nice and close. We checked in late but all our info was ready to go so it took minutes. Rooms are small. It's an old motel. Can't beat it for the price and a one night stay. I'll stay there again for sure

The hotel has not been remodeled.
I had five rooms for my family all of the rooms smell of mold that can be seen in each bathroom, toilet didn't work in two rooms, the peep hole parts were completely gone in my room I had to duck tape inside and outside the door, not to mention the nats and flies we had to buy spray and let's not forget how hard we had to slam the doors several times before they would lock. we will never stay here again nor will I tell anyone to stay here. The only enjoyment was the parks we attended.

Overall the HOJO isn't too bad. Although really, it's not a Howard Johnson. It basically seems to be a former mom-n-pop 2-floor motel that Howard Johnson just stuck their name on. I booked 2 rooms for 2 couples. One room had a king bed and my only critique on this particular room was the tv. It had a decent amount of static on it. Aside from this minor comment- after all, I'm not there to watch the tv..., it was a fine room. The shower had nice pressure with a newer curtain rod, the bed was a bid hard for my liking but wife enjoyed it so to each their own. Now onto my friends' room. They had 2 double beds and they had a number of complaints. First, their bathroom was one of the smallest I'd ever seen (room 106 specifically). The door would only swing half-way open because it would hit the edge of the shower tub. You literally couldn't swing your legs to the left if you were on the toilet. There also was no sink in the bathroom. It was located outside of the room where the 'desk' part of the countertop should have been. Yup, you heard me. They had a sink outside of their bathroom! I got a good laugh out of it, but they weren't chuckling. They also didn't even have any clothes drawers. Outside of their bathroom was a countertop with sink and no drawers below, just open space. Poor design... Also, there was a 'fallen iron' burn mark in the carpet that just added to the decor... Anyways, I didn't have any issues in the king bed room (#216) but in the 2 double bed rooms, they certainly did. Moral of the story is to be VERY careful if you plan on booking with 2 doubles. Great location close to park though- only about 2.5 miles from Cleveland Ave which is 5 - 10 minutes away. Terrific location, have fun and enjoy the Top Thrill Dragster and Millenium Force- best coasters around!

Howard Johnson Cedar Point
The hotel in NO WAY looks like the internet photo! I was extremely disappointed!!! the rooms were as small as my walk-in closet!! I asked the manager if there were any other rooms but was informed all rooms were the same size. The staff was very nice but having to leave the room so the my boys could change or so I could change, OMG!! As long as you weren't in the room the trip was fine!

Sandusky, OH
We were in town for the drag races in Norwalk, OH. The hotel was not bad for the price. The rooms were small, but decently cleaned. The bathroom was clean, but there were stains on the towels. The one thing that was bad about staying at this hotel was the parking. The parking lot is very narrow and hard to get into. The hotel was full, so we had to park by the pool. The other thing that made my stay not as enjoyable was that it was really loud at night. We were right next to the road and the wall are really thin. If I had a choice I would probably pick another hotel to stay at in the future. You get what you paid for. The hotel is outdated and run down.

NOT IMPRESSED!
I came to the area to start work. When I arrived at the hotel, the parking lot was taped off and i had to maneuver my way to the front desk entrance. Upon checking in, the hotel clerk told me to park my car at the neighboring hotel as theirs was recently black-topped. Then I got to my room and realized that I was the only guest at the hotel. Sleeping was impossible as well, because there was a train that came by every 30 minutes. I would NOT recommend staying here for any purpose.

The Small Hotel
The hotel served it's needs. The hotel was close to the park and was on a major road so we found it easy. Overall we got what we paid for, a safe to place to stay. The room was a little small, but the staff was helpful and nice.
