Waterpark resort with family-friendly lodge style, arcade and sweets
Great Wolf Lodge - Sandusky is a destination unto itself, with 33,000 square feet (3,065 square meters) of indoor waterpark fun, a seasonal lake-size outdoor pool, themed guest suites and an arcade with more than 100 games. Wonderful Indoor Waterpark for little ones!
Hotel was adorable and perfect for little ones. My teens enjoyed, but thought it was geared more towards younger children.

Fishermen's Cabin
This is a motel out of the 1960's . You know the tiny room with a bathroom. This is not a family motel and would be great for some fishermen buddies to stay a cheap night at. Very musty, very small, dirty carpet, no internet service unless you like standing in the parking lot.

great for preschool age kids
room was very spacious & fit 5 people comfortably. Prices a bit high in the restaurants, but to be expected. Didn't like that the water park closed at 9pm & that the arcade closed at 10pm. Enjoyed the waterslides with my 4 year old & loved that he was able to go on everything as long as I was with him.

Short walk from hotel
go to Steak N' Shake next door for all-you-can eat pancakes for $4. Much cheaper than the breakfast buffet at the hotel. The food was great there, but $12 a person not including a drink was a bit pricey for the 5 of us!

everything we hoped it would be
We loved the atmosphere from the moment we arrived. Staff was very friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable. We have been to bigger indoor water parks, but the kids still had plenty to do. The outdoor pool area was wonderful. We also took advantages of many of the "non-water" activities like the crafts and the "cub cabin" which was perfect for my 1 year old who became overwhelmed by the water activities.

Great Waterpark for the kids
Took family, kids 1,3,8 and 16. Waterpark and service was excellent. Only shortcoming was we were on a ground floor room and the people upstairs sounded like they had a herd of elephants walking around. [...]
