Budget hotel surprises with VIP desk, free Wi-Fi and central location
Walk to Castaway Bay from Sandusky's centrally located and affordable Econo Lodge North, also a short drive to Cedar Point Amusement Park. Cedar Point trip
We had an excellent experience at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and right there at Cedar Point. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was good. They even had hot waffles that were good. We go to Cedar Point every year and will definatly stay here again next year.

Close to park, that's about it
First room was a smoking room even though requested non smoking, so room changed to one that had an odd odor. Beds not comfortable, nor were pillows. Sound proofing non existent, when room next door ran water, it was very loud and impossible to sleep through. Close to park, this is the only reason for recommendation

Our Cedar Point Visit...
The hotel staff was unbearable...front desk was rude, short, and very unfriendly. The room was ok. Nothing horrible, and nothing too exciting either. The room seemed fairly clean. The most disappointing thing was the front desk staff, they were downright unfriendly. We also had a broken door in our bathroom that wouldn't lock or shut. The front door lock was also broken and our keys wouldn't swipe, the staff had to come up and manually unlock it for us...again, not very friendly. I probably would stay in this room again if the staff would have been friendlier. The breakfast seemed ok, but very crowded.

Don't go to TGI Friday's...it's owned by Cedar Point and wow is it over priced!!!!! Applebees was perfect.

Had a pretty ok time
Were a lil disappointed that there was no refrigerator, microwave or coffee pot in the room! but overall our experience was good! Georgio the concierge waffle maker at the free continental breakfast was awesome, not only did he make awesome waffles but had a fabulous personality to go with it! Front desk was very helpful aswell!

Super close to cedar point and restaurants and shopping, about a 5-7 min drive to kalahari and other eating destinations! Great location!

sandusky visit
I came to sandusky to visit a friend that was working at cedar point. This hotel was very nice, clean, beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. I enjoyed my stay other than some of the guests being loud but its nothing you wouldn't get at any other hotel.

funny smell
Everything looked clean and the bedding was clean but our room smelled like body odor. The remote had no batteries, but when we asked for batteries the attendant found some and also gave us air freshener. For the small amount of time we spent in the room it met our needs. Beware the parking lot fills up completely @ night.

For pub style dining All-way pizza pub was great. A left out of the econolodge parking lot, down the way on the left. Delicious pizza, and fair prices parking in back.
