Great stay for price

Went to cedar point for the day, as it began to rain we went to the hotel. Hotel was clean and everyone was friendly. Room was clean and inviting. When I took a shower the water would get cold then warm and then cold again. When we got up for contenential breakfast it was only coffee and blueberry muffins.

great for cedar point

Hotel was very clean, staff was great and responded quickly whenever we needed something. Great location just minutes from cedar point and surrounded by a huge variety of local restaurants. I wish they had a continental breakfast but there are great breakfast places just down the road. Overall, great hotel and will definitely be staying there again!

Terrible

My stay here was one of my worst experiences. Staff was hit and miss. Towels were like sand paper and never stocked. No room service for 3 days even after asking in person. No clean linens noted on the carts. Dirty pillow cases. Staff was vacuuming at 11pm the night before we left. I was very unhappy with my stay. I tried to make it the best I could but it was slightly impossible. I would not recommend this hotel. The location was the only nice thing, also the food at the restaurant was good for the price.

Cheap room

Staff was friendly, room was ok, guess you get what you pay for in season on a weekend... They try to make it look good, but the name says it all, "budget"

Bring your own towels

First of all, every staff member I encountered was wonderful. Service couldn't have been better. The pool was also pretty good, nothing special but clean. It's heated, though, and was a little too warm for the record hot day (105). As for the hotel, it was decent, room was clean, but the pillows were very uncomfortable. While the room's a/c was working great, the lobby and halls were not air conditioned at all and were very hot and muggy. WORST OF ALL, for my party of four there was only one towel in the room when we checked in. I went to the front desk and asked for more towels and they could only give me two. The next day after room service, we were again left with only one towel. NO WASHCLOTHS, NO HAND TOWELS. I asked for more towels and they brought me four more after about an hour. They were warm and had clearly just been laundered. The other thing I was unhappy about was that I was expecting a free continental breakfast in the lobby, and all they had was coffee and a VERY small assortment of muffins and danish. So we went out for breakfast.

Great for the money

we were on the third floor at the end and only one entrance to the third so sucked to walk all the way with luggage. the room was really big and nice the bathroom was outdated but nothing bad overall for the price it was great. just the staff is unattentive they only have one person working the desk and the line backs up fast. not to mention if they leave to help a guest who knows how long the desk goes unran. overall great though just leave the room keys on the desk at check out so you dont have to wait. def would reccomend.

Not so Good

I reserved two rooms about a week in advance, and when we got there they didn't have a room ready for us because of problems with the air conditioning. We had to wait about a half hour after getting out of Cedar Point (about 11:30 pm) in order to get our room. Nothing done about the inconvenience of having to wait when our room should have been reserved and ready to go, considering it was already paid for in full. In addition, when we got into the rooms they were scorching hot because they didn't have the air on and we didn't get the two rooms next to each other like we wanted because they didn't really RESERVE the rooms!!

Not Stellar in Sandusky

When I went to check-in at the hotel the clerk was on the phone for at least 5 minutes before acknowledging I was standing there. The hotel LOST OUR RESERVATION, and kept telling me I was at the wrong location. Finally, they gave us another room because I had my hotel confirmation information. (The clerk mentioned that this happens often, where the reservations disappear. "There must be Gremlins in the system" was the exact phrase they used.) Once we got to the room I was not impressed. There were three bath towels (that would be perfect size for a 5 year old) that ALL had make-up on them. I would feel safe saying they didn't look washed. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor. ALSO, THERE IS NO ALARM CLOCK, or clock in general, in the room. When we walked out into the hallway in the morning there was an overwhelming stench of cannabis everywhere you went. It make me queezy and I could not wait to get outside and breathe fresh air. Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. With all the other options around-stay someplace else.

A decent place for Cedar Point Trips

We chose this hotel for it's price and location as merely a place to crash after a long day at Cedar Point. Do not fool yourself into thinking you're getting five star quality at this price point. The hotel and room were clean. The building is old, it's going to smell old. Once in the room and the air running for a bit no one in my party had any issues with smells. Staff were pleasant making checking in and out quick and hassle free. We always returned at the end of the day to a clean room and important to us clean towels in the bathroom. The location was convenient to multiple dining options and retail/grocery stores for picnic items at the park. Ultimately, a well valued place to sleep in between busy days a Cedar Point.
