Hotel was good. Fitness Center needs updating and need to fix broken machines. Security needs to be tighter with Water ... Park, found a young girl roaming the halls and asking me to help her get in her room, her grandmother let you wonder back to her room with no key and luckily, I walked her back to the water park and left her with a supervisor, since anyone can walk right into the lobby and then halls of hotel, this is risky. Food is good, but expensive for breakfast. With Bob Evans around the corner, should take time to comp shop prices.

Do not eat at the Restaurant on site at the Cherry Valley Lodge. It was overpriced and not very good at all. Go off site into Granville to eat.

Visit the town of Dresden and the Longaberger Homestead. Plenty of shopping and good food. If you enjoy golf, book a tee time at Longaberger Golf Course and play 18 holes on one of the best courses in the United States. The course is full of challenges, the club house and pro shop are expertly staffed with a full range of services and food service.

I was a Cherry Valley one year ago and found my room not very clean. Mold in the bath, screen off of the patio door, ... cigarette butts on the ground. Not this time. My room was clean as was the grounds. The only staff that spoke to me was the young man doing the grilling on the patio. Please enc the staff to go that extra mile to make the place excellent again

Not Happy with the booking or the rate

We were not happy with the Orbitz. When we did the booking, we clearly indicated we wanted 2 beds, and we were given 1 bed ... with a pullout. The only way to get 2 beds wase to go to a handicap room. Also, my Brother Tom stayed at the same hotel for $69.00 per night as compared to the $101 per night that we paid. This I blame on Orbitz, because the hotel said it was Orbitz Fault.

could have been worse

well it started off as a disaster. we were VERY late (12:30 am arrival) although we called @ 5pm to let the hotel know of ... this, we were assured we were OK. Well they did not have a room for us, due to some weird Ohio Squatter law, and had to move us down the road to the marriott. We were in fact paid in full from Orbitz! And my wife was in the wedding party (being held there the next evening!) On our return Sat. am, we were given a very nice room by 10AM and from that moment, the manager Ron assured us we would be well taken care of, and we were. Kudos to him! otherwise, very pretty hotel setting w/ ponds and ducks. And even though seemingly very kid oriented w/ the waterpark, it was quiet.

Mold in bathroom along with water stained ceiling tile and an exhaust fan noisier than a commercial airplane. Not nearly the ... features in the waterpark as advertised. Not nearly enough waterpark features for the tween through adult set. Really only the 3 watertubes for them. Pool small. Patio off room not clean. Buildings laid out so navigation difficult. Could hear children above us running. Could hear everything going on in rooms when you were in the halls. Should have had family oriented/priced/menu restaurants. Not a "second trip destination". Obvious pet occupied prior due to pet hair on carpet.

The best thing about this hotel was the proximity to Columbus, Ohio. It was close to home for a quick get-away. However, ... having been a guest at Great Wolf Lodge in Sandusky, Ohio there was no comparison. Cherry Valley Lodge was lacking fun activities for children and there was not an outdoor pool. I was also very disappointed to find out upon check in that the cost of my room did not include the waterpark tickets. Again, when booking a room at Great Wolf Lodge, the room inlcudes the wagter park passes. However, the front desk staff was very understanding and said that is a commom misconceptioon when dealing with Orbitz.

Nice room with complimentary coffee pot. No coffee! I asked for some (two times), never got it. A convention was on the ... grounds and staff was busy & distracted serving them.

Excellent location for events at National Trails Raceway. Easy to get to, light traffic. Perfect retreat with children because of the water park although resturants are a bit pricey. Heath, Ohio close by with all the popular eating spots.

Cherry Valley Lodge is lovely, however, the dining room service was very slow. If you are not in a hurry, then it might be okay, but we waited quite awhile for each course and also for the bill.

We stayed for an out of town wedding, reception was at this hotel, food was good,we used the outdoor patio and lounge for ... cocktail hour, very nicely landscaped, large water feature.(small lake and waterfall).

The lodge is beautiful. The gardens are breathtaking and having the waterpark makes this a family must. I was very pleased ... with the "L" shaped room arrangement. It made the room seem much bigger. However, the housekeeping staff was average at best. Though the appointments on the beds were lovely, the beds themselves were made poorly and the room had a slightly stale odor. I would however, stay here again. Though, next time, I'll inspect the room before I accept it.

The rooms are very nice. Staff at the desk was not helpful or friendly The pool was not monitor by the hotel staff. Kids ran ... and jumped into the pool and diving and it was a no diving. the hot tub was very crowded and had to many kids in it. kids were in the pool area unattended and under 16. I would not stay here again.

Very, very nice overall. The King size bed and jetted tub were just wonderful. We do wish there had been a DVD player ... though to play movies we brought with us. There is a playstation in each room but the only way to watch a movie is to do pay per view. The grounds were gorgeous. The pool area was far too busy to even get in the water but the kids we saw there were having a blast. You have to pay to even make a toll free phone call in the room, we noticed. Why are there no pens or paper in the room? And why is the check out time not posted anywhere and why are there no directions for navigating through the hotel anywhere? The T.V. at most hotels like this give you a good overview and also the option for easy check out via the T.V. But not here. We ate at area restaurants - Damon's and The Grill are highly recommended.
