Decent Hotel for Decent Price
My grandson loved the hotel pool, hotub and pingpong. Hotel was in a great location and the beds were very comfortable. The downsides were that they would take our dirty towels every night but not replace them, so we had to keep asking for some (2 days in a row). The phone in our room did not work, so we could not order room service. And there was only one set of pingpong paddles that were slightly broken and we had to track them down from previous owner.

nasty place!
The hotel is in serious need of updating. Most offensive was the smell of nicotine in the room and hallways. The common areas are dirty. The bathroom has very small areas and the electrical outlets are in disrepair. We stay at holiday inns and expect a certain level of amenities - this location was very disappointing.

Should have been better
Location of the hotel was great for the business we had to conduct. I expected a cleaner property for the Holiday Inn name to be on it. The carpeting was very dirty / stained in the halls and room, all the glass was dirty, and the place was generall NOT clean. We are moving to a different hotel for our next trip.

Not a pleasant experience
The Holiday Inn Dayton Mall was not a good experience. The room was only adequately clean and the ceiling tile was falling down in the bath room area - very obvious to anyone but still they rented this room (I did not complain to management). The water would go from hot to cold without even touching the faucet so you never knew what to expect. For a hotel in such a good area of Dayton, I really expected more. I felt that overall the place looked in real need some a serious upgrade. I visit this area at least once a year and have taken note of the other properties. I will not stay here again.
