Good for a night on the road.

We stayed here on two separate occasions, at the beginning and end of a long road trip. Of all the hotels we stayed at, this was the one that made me the most psychosomatically itchy; none of us actually saw any proof of bugs or anything, but I didn't want to lay on the floor to do my daily stretches, either. I think it was the carpet, the coloring of which just kind of makes it LOOK dirty. But it was reasonably clean overall, no frills, the beds were short and small; they were fulls masquerading as doubles, really. The breakfast was good, the staff polite, except on the last day when they asked my husband if we were going to check out soon so they could clean the room over an hour before actual checkout time. The price was appropriate for the hotel, but I'd've felt it was a good value at about ten dollars cheaper a night. Wireless was easy to use (no passwords or other complications) and fast enough.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Red Lobster next door is very handy for eating, but is apparently EXTREMELY popular, as it was packed with a long wait both nights we were there. Go over and put in your name before you unload the car/check in/etc, and be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes for a table, more if you are a large party.

Best rest I have had in a while

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and most importantly quiet. I drove from Washington DC to Maumee and after arriving at the hotel I had the best receptionist. She greated me with a very nice smile and was kind. The web site was easy to use and I was surprised at how simple and efficient the check in and out went. I was on the road in about 10 minutes after checking out. Great place. I will stay there again on my next trip to DC.

On the way to DC

We checked in Late and left early. The breakfast was standard, room was clean and adequate, and the staff was friendly. The fridge and remote in our room did not work. I didn't bother with it at night, but I did call in the morning as we were leaving (so it wouldn't be like that for the next guest) and they offered to run down a remote immediately and asked if we needed a late check-out. Great place for a stop over, but wouldn't make it a destination.

Snow time in Maumee, OH

I arrived after 1:00 AM and left around 10:00 AM. There are two Comfort Inns about 1/2 mile apart and I went to the wrong one. At breakfast I had 2 egg patties, 2 biscuits with sausage gravy, orange juice, capuccino, and do-it-yourself waffles with syrup. Easy access to I-80/I-90 (Ohio Turnpike).

The second floor would have been better

The hotel was a bit dated, not bad. The walls were thin, the floorboards above our first floor room squeaked, which kept us awake until early hours in the morning. We won't go back. I'd give it a 2 out of 5.

Comfort Inn West-Toledo

The place was very clean but smelled a little musty. The breakfast was good. The only thing that bothered me was that the room had just a bit of a musty smell. It had nothing to do with cleanliness because every crack and crevice was clean in our room. Actually it may have been a spray that they used when they cleaned that made it smell funny. It worked for us and I would stay there again.

Disapointed stay

Picked this hotel for price and description (that included pictures). Once there we found out they no longer had a hot tub and the "heated pool" was NOT heated. Tried to get in but it was too cold. Those were the 2 main things we were looking to have during our stay. Bathroom is very small. We could hear every foot step from the room above us - Floor creaked horrible. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed all the extra pillows. Check in was pleasant. The receptionist was very friendly.
