Nice hotel; nice stay
My 14 year old son and I stayed here for one night before heading into Cleveland the next day to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The room was neat, bathroom was clean and overall appearance was good. The desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Good value.

Excellent location and Accomodations
Having stayed at this hotel, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the accomodations and the breakfast. The staff was excellent - attentive to us and ensured we had everything we needed including directions to restaurants and places we intended to visit. To the staff - thank you for a great weekend getaway. We will stay there again when we travel back to Cleveland. Regards, Kris K

Great family getaway.
The rooms were clean, would of been nice if the rooms had a microwave. The complimentary breakfast was awesome one of the best I have seen. I would stay there again if I was going back again and the price was right for me.

More good than bad
I liked the large room layout -- comfortable for 3. The huge TV was initially impressive but the picture was not good (signal? TV?). Nice fridge, but no microwave. Beds were comfortable. New exercise equipment. Staff didn't take interest when I reported a couple of small problems. Great main floor functionality. Nice to have a good coffee bar. Free bfast was less than most. 24-hour menu is nice. I'll return when my party is 2-3. For solo travel there are better values.

Very Spacious!
Everyone was very nice and helpful. We had a very large room that was nicer than most of our past rooms at other hotels. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area!

beautiful accomodations
Furniture, design, wood work etc... are perfect. For the price is one of the best I have ever seen. The exercise room is adequate. There is a starbucks in the premises that is a nice place where to have that coffee and meet friends. The only thing that I did not liked was the internet service, the signal strength and speed were extremely low and slow.

Cleveland Summit
I was in Cleveland to attend a meeting. The meeting was held at Mavis Winkles, which was extremely close to my hotel. My meeting went late and I was able to order room service at 10pm, which was extremely helpful as I am not overly familiar with Cleveland. I would definitely recommend Hyatt Place, and I have, to everyone I know.

On the Road Again
LOUD and FULL OF CHILDREN
I was given room 416 right next to the elevator and was kept awake all night with the hordes of children running up and down the halls and using the elevators constantly. I stayed from July 14 through Saturday morning the 16th, giving myself a mini "vacation," and returned home much less relaxed than when I left. The pool was noisy and small; even with just a few people present at the pool, the acoustics made it sound as if they were all shouting. The traffic in front of the hotel was ridiculous- there were children skateboarding right in front of the entrance and I almost hit one of them with my car. I overheard one of the "chaperones" in charge of these large groups of children say to her friend on the elevator that they had crammed 11 kids into one room. I was extremely disappointed with my stay. I called down to the front desk to complain about the noise from the children (they began to "congregate" around the elevator without even using the elevator at one point), and was told that someone would come up and handle it, but the issue was never resolved. When I checked out, the Gallery Host on Thursday did not ask how my stay was so I did not mention the horrible noise I experienced both nights I stayed. There were also people smoking too close to the entrance of the hotel and cars were parked so close to the entranceway, that I had a hard time maneuvering around them to get to my own car which was parked a couple of rows away. I booked this hotel because the website appeared business-traveler friendly (I also have to go out of town on business quite often too), but the amount of unsupervised children running around the hotel was quite astonishing. It seemed that no one was in charge or trying to manage the noise, traffic, or safety of the other hotel guests. I will never stay at this hotel again. Also, there was a sink in the little "kitchen," a mini-fridge without a freezer, but no microwave. The air conditioner and fan are both VERY noisy.. I like a little "white noise" at night to help alleviate the outside hallway noise, but the air conditioning/fan unit was too noisy to keep on all night. There were hairs in the ice bucket so make sure that you wipe it very clean before placing the plastic bag into it for ice. The plastic bags they provide for the ice bucket seemed to be reused (not new). I used my own plastic bag for this because the ice bucket was so dirty. You have to go up or down a floor just to get ice, depending on where your room is. Make sure you ask to be as far away from the elevator as possible! The doors and walls are very thin!

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
There is a Walgreens right down the road which is convenient for toiletries but they close at 10 pm so go early if you need something. There are no grocery stores nearby; so Walgreens is your best bet for food items to keep on hand.
