A Trip to Forget?
If you want a circus adventure, then you need to stay at the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside. They only have one set of elevators which makes it impossible to get to and from floors comfortably. Kids are running wild at all hours of the night. It was a total mess! We asked to speak to a manager and the person at the desk was a complete jerk and told us off. Lets just say that we'll never stay at an Embassy Suite again! Bad service, poor employees, and lack of control. If you want a place for your kids to run wild, this is your place. If you're looking for a quiet get away and have time to yourself, don't come here.

Hard to review as we couldn't sleep due to noise
This was a seemingly nice hotel located conveniently near Cleveland. However, our next door neighbors spent the night yelling, talking loudly, singing, playing drums, fighting, and dropping f-bombs, etc. My 9 year old stated at 11:45pm, "I can't fall asleep... the party next door is too loud.". We called the front desk at least 4 times throughout the night. I had to use my cell phone as the room phone was disconnected. The first two times the front desk said that security would come by and had come by. I think the last call worked at 2 am but then failed to work a few hours later. We would have moved rooms but my 6 year old somehow managed to fall asleep. This hotel experience ranks third on my worst experiences, behind 2 train car nights in the south of France a few years back. Otherwise this is a very nice hotel.

Quick Week-end Vacation
The hotel is a short drive from downtown Cleveland and getting in and out of the city was easy. We visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Musuem of Art, The Goodtime III, and Bill Maher at the Palace. Plenty of resturants surround the hotel, although the resturant at the hotel was very good. The lobster bisque was excellent. The breakfast was also good and while the hotel was full the weekend we were there there was never a wait for breakfast.

Great room, great staff
The hotel was pleasant and Staff was very nice. We booked here because it seemed closer to Downtown Cleveland. At the end of the day, we saved about $50 on the room rate but spent $30 for each trip to and from the City. We ended up spending $120 all together so I should have just paid the extra money to stay downtown. Lesson learned. The hotel was very nice and the room was VERY clean.. I would stay here again for sure if I didn't plan on being downtown 3 separate times.

Saturday night in Embassy Suites
The convenience to the event I was attending was the reason I booked at the Embassy suites Independence. The room was clean and once the bedroom door was shut the noise from the atrium was blocked. There was an unusual smell from the atrium upon returning for the evening and even was in the room. Was not sure whether it was from the kitchen but it was gone by the morning. The maid needs to learn to knock first before entering a room. She made multiple attempts to see if we had left around 9:30-10 am by just opening the door.

Quick Trip
We had a fantastic time! The pool was great and the hot tub was relaxing. We also spent time playing pool. The room was spacious for us to spread out (and not argue about who got to pick the television program). The staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast, especially the omelets, were awesome!

Second stay in a year and still great!!
We checked in at 11:15pm and the pool was still open, that's great!! The atrium was very noisy as there was a wedding reception going on and the hotel was sold-out yet the room was very quiet, we had a nice repeat stay. One hint - Don't park near the grassy areas, the lawn and garden sprinklers will spray your vehicle at night.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel was beautiful and very full and busy, the bedrooms are not on the atrium side so the evening ongoings were not heard. The staff was very friendly and helpful - we needed directions a couple times - to a store and church. The pool was nice but crowded because the hotel was so full. We couldn't beat the price through Orbitz so being busy wasn't a problem. The manager's reception and morning breakfast were both nice. We went for a family event in Cleveland so I was looking for the nicest hotel for the best deal, the Embassy is usually a sure bet and I couldn't have been more right. The housekeeping and food service staff was exceptionally nice and friendly. The hotel was in an excellent location right next to I77, it was just a little confusing getting down the correct road but not a big problem, better signage would help. There is a drug/grocery store about a mile down the road that had most everything you might need from nail polish to lunch meat to wine/beer. Great place, worth the little extra drive that we did. We did end up eating dinner at the grille and the food was ok, there are a couple restaurants within a short drive that may have been a better choice.

They treated us well!
Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and courteous. We were treated well and every request was honored. The maintenance staff was particularly efficient. The room amenities were just what we had expected. Very comfortable both in and out of the room. Met some really good people in Cleveland.
