THIS IS A WONDERFUL HOTEL. FELT SAFE, COMFORTABLE. DINING OPTIONS ARE LOCAL. GREAT VIEW. NOT NOISY.

Great stay
Very nice hotel...helpful staff. Nice rooms..great bed. The warm cookie at check in was nice especially since i was hungry when i checked in. The only knock I have on the place is Schula2 is in the lobby. Great place to eat...while breakfast bar is a nice option they really need to staff that place better for breakfast rush

Great HOTEL, horrible guest
Any hotel in Independence area are great and cater's with the taste of an upperclassman. The guest were the only problem VERY LOUD and obnoxious. Overall, great dining staff!

Ok Hotel
Overall experience was good. Staff was friendly, Room was pretty quiet. Only thing was that the shower drain did not work well. Actually the shower faucet was not intuitive and took me a while to work it. In-room dining was good, a lot of food for a reasonable price.

Bad hotel or just bad luck?
I have stayed here before without any issues but this time was full of annoying issues and problems that really ruined and tainted the experience. First room assigned to us was a smoking room though non-smoking was booked. Second room the keys did not work and we were 95% sure the room was still occupied by someone else. Third room, finally, however the heat was on high and at full fan speed so the room was unbearable. Had to leave the room w/ the air conditioner on (keep in mind it was 20 degrees F outside with 5 inches of snow at the time). It was almost painful to breathe. Also first morning someone on the staff thought it was a great idea to vacuum loudly outside our room at 7:30am (this was a Sunday morning).

Good Place To Stay
I was attending my class reunion which was held in the grand ballroom. The dinner was very good and the room setup wasgreat.
