Days Inn Independence

To start when I got there, there was no internet service in my room so they had to move me down to another floor. The cleaning person on the 5th floor was loud and very abrasive to whom ever she was talking to on the phone. Also with the 5th floor, the drawers were all broken, the safe was locked and no key, no iron in the room. On the 2nd floor the cleaning person was nicer, however they forgot to bring me a clean shower curtain. The furniture was in better shape, but the blankets had burn holes in them. They were still cleaning rooms and setting them up at 5 or 6 in the evening, by 2 they should have been done. There was a sink leak in my room, but no one seem to mind it,they never contacted anyone to fix. There was some old mold around the bathtub and no stopper for the tub.

Days Inn- Independence This was the best price in Independence. For $80, we expected a clean and comfortable place to rest for the night. Unfortunately, the room had a funny odor, the shower trickled so lightly that I couldn't rinse my hair, the fire alarm was hanging by the wires, the iron was not in the room and when we tried to call down to ask for an iron, we discovered that the telephone didn't work either. As we were getting ready to call it a night, a friendly bug scurried across our pillows. We definitely would not suggest this hotel. For $30 more, there is an EXCELLENT hotel about a mile away.

Lobby Door broken, Back outside door propped open. Inadequate parking very little lighted parking, Hallways were filthy and noise from them came into room easily. Had a king non-smoking room, bed uncomfortable, blanket did not reach sides of the bed, probably full sized with stains and burn holes. Bathroom was not properly stocked with towels. Room was not anything like pictures on internet. The middle of the carpet was vaccumed but the sids of the carpet were dirty.

WOW. This was a bad hotel experience. We were missing so many things we were promised. Dirty, run down, poorly managed. And did i mention that we were totally not happy with ANYTHING.

The rooms looked much better than the outside and lobby would leave you to believe.

Easy to get to from the highway and easy to get to anywhere in Cleveland from here. The hotel itself is in need of some updating. The lighting is dim. The "high speed" internet was pretty slow and the free HBO was non-existent. Breakfast ended at 9, which seems early to me. Until I saw someone with a bagel the day I checked out I thought it was like the HBO...non-existent. This place worked well enough for a 2 night stay while on business. If I'm traveling with my family I think I'll find someplace nicer.

First when we got there they had us booked for a room without a jacuzzi. then we got into the room and turned on the jacuzzi and dirt came out. we didn't get a coffee pot or garbage can either. then we went to leave and our door wouldn't lock. they switched us to the only other jacuzzi suite they had and it was smoking so it smelled horrible like smoke. some of the light fixtures were missing bulbs. the bathroom sink's drain wasn't connected so after we put the drain down it wouldn't come back up so it was stuck the whole time therefore we didn't have a sink AT ALL. On top of all this the pool was already closed and it was 95 degrees outside and the parking was VERY limited.

The hotel is just OK. The phone in my room didn't work, I had to call the front desk from my cell phone because they didn't have enough staff members to bring me a new phone. The front desk wouldn't call me a taxi. The room wasn't that clean. I would only recommend this hotel if you are trying to save money or if you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel.

The hotel was conveniently located but the signs to find it were barely visible. I think every hotel needs to have an air freshener spray available at the front desk for times when a room gets stuffy and smells musty as a result.

Front desk clerk very unfriendly. Hallway noise easy to hear in the room. Room was missing coffee cups and water cups. Also was missing the do not disturb sign and the remote control for the TV. Just annoying that those items were missing. Don't stay here unless you plan on just sleeping and moving on.
