Knights Inn Columbus/Grove City

This was the worst hotel experience I ever had. It started out with he guy at the check in desk not knowing how to issue a room key. We had to wait for someone to come back from her lunch break. Then the room was barely clean and had no towells. The doors stuck and had to be slammed every time to make sure they shut all the way. There were also police circling through the parking lot every couple of hours. I will never stay there again. I would only recommend this hotel to someone I cannot stand.

The place was old but undergoing renovation. The water system needs some work as the shower would change temperature every time someone flushed a toilet. The typical clientele gave cause for concern as they camped the parking lot. The room was clean and quiet though.

This was my worst hotel stay by FAR! The first room was dirty and nasty and when I requested a room change the lady hung up on me. I called cheap tickets to get a refund and they said the hotel had to do it and the hotel said that cheap tickets had to issue the refund. The lady at the front desk was very rude. I had two people approach me asking me if I wanted to buy drugs and it was very loud. Two people next door were fighting until 2AM and nothing was done about it. Someone tried to break in my car as well. I will never stay there again!

Poor Towel, Later no breakfast, early poor breakfast, just dim coffee and bagel. so much as no bumf.No wireless in room. Bug in room.

Well it all started with a phone call we made the morning before the trip started. It listed nothing about internet at the hotel, and while something like that is usually standard these days we figured we'd call and ask just to make sure. The lady working the desk explained "We don't have wireless internet, but there is wireless outside." My friend asked "What do you mean there is wireless outside, you mean like outside the room?" and the lady promptly hung up on her after asking her to hold. Needless to say, there was no internet at all. Inside or out. We arrived at he hotel and they were in the process of renovating. The people at the desk were helpful for the most part, many of the rooms in the hotel were boarded up or had blankets hung over the windows instead of curtains. The carpet on the inside was badly stained, and we pulled back the covers of one of the beds to find a june bug crawling around in it. We called hotel staff about bugs being in our room, they quickly came in told us they weren't bed bugs (obviously) and threw it out the door instead of killing it. I went outside and killed it myself as it was walking back into the room while they were kind enough to get us new bedsheets for that bed. The next day housekeeping arrived at 9am (a bit early for my tastes) and asked us if we needed anything. We asked for towels, and she wanted our dirty ones and we dumped them into a trash bag she was carrying around. An hour passed, she never gave us towels. We had a concert to catch and I went to the front desk, where they told us to walk around back and asked for towels. The hotel staff were all standing around smoking and talking with each other and I explained we had a schedule to make and we needed to take showers so we needed towels. The lady explained "We don't got no towels." and I said "When will they be ready?" and she said "They're washing, we ain't got no towels. What room are you in?" I answered and she said "We'll get you your towels, go back to your room." 2 more hours passed, the towels never came. Half of our lights didn't work. The television and alarm clock both shut off randomly so much that we had to use our alarm on our cell phones. The plugs didn't fit in the outlets. Our heating and air unit didn't have a cover on the front of it and smelled badly. The lamps looked broken and glued back together. The hot and cold on the shower were backwards and couldn't maintain temperature. We were only offered 22 channels and 2 of them only worked some of the time. Sure the hotel is cheap, but I honestly think you're better off staying at the Red Roof Inn on Stringtown Rd which I had a fantastic stay at before. It's definitely worth the more money. Only stay at this hotel if it is the only way possible you can stay in this town and you have to stay here. But if you do, don't expect anything at all to work or to be comfortable.

I know they're trying to spruce the place up, but right now, in June 2008, the Knights Inn is a dump.

There was alot of local traffic in the parking lot. At one time, I blocked the door with furniture, because you can never be to safe!

it was convenient for us regarding price and room cleaness.

The Knights Inn Columbus/Grove City was very nice, we expected much less for the price but we were very suprised when we arrived it was comfortable, roomy, and the beds were very soft. So overall we were very satisfied.
