TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dayton North

The room was clean and the location couldn't have been better but other than that, I would have to say this was a pretty unremarkable property. I thought the decor was very modern but the room layout was terrible. When the fold out couch was in use it was very difficult to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night--you had to crawl over either the end of the fold-out or the end of the bed. The tv was not at an angle that was conducive to watching it from the bed or the couch--i was at a 90 degree angle to both those pieces of furniture. The kitchen was nice and the bathroom spacious. Continental breakfast was fairly unremarkable.

This is a nearly new hotel. The rooms are like a studio apartment with a kitchenette, dishes, apt refrig, large closet, etc. Great bathroom with a high mounted showerhead and good water pressure. Our room was on the backside and was very quiet. Many restaurants within 1/4 mile. Good continental breakfast with 6 cereals, biscuits/gravy, pasteries, bagels, etc. Will definitely stay there agin.

I have to say that this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a hotel in the past 10 years. As a loyal Marriott customer, I would think their customer service would be more responsive. I had a reservation here last Wednesday and I was contacted by the hotel as they had overbooked and wanted to walk me to a nearby hotel. The compensation for walking was below Marriott's minimums and the hotel was a Comfort Inn. Not really the same thing. I had a client coming in from out of town who basically bore the burden of this fiasco with me. Not really stellar for conducive business relationships. I left a message for the GM who thought it was better business not to get back to me. I left two inquiries on Marriott's website to inquire about the situation with no response. I am seriously considering switching allegiances to the Hilton chain after this mess. If I could give zero stars, I would. Unfortunately, I can't rate this hotel for the rooms - only the poor customer service. If they would do this to a Platinum level customer, I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed if you encounter issues. You've been warned.

New hotel, delightful, helpful staff. King studio was moderate but sufficient size. Full kitchen nicely appointed with dishes,pots& pans,gagets. Breakfast was the same with left over sausage gravy for 3 days-good, but biscuits sure got stale! NEED to read & check off choice on inside of ROOM KEY FOLDER. Didn't notice it & as a result only got clean towels 1 out of 3 days; bed never made, room not vacuumed nor trash emptied. Lots of restaurants & shopping nearby. Exercise room,coin operated laundry & free computer in lobby with a printer & Wi-Fi in all rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was wonderfully located, with plenty of food and shopping around. Very clean and the rooms were comfortable.
