Wingate by Wyndham Columbus / Polaris

I specifically put in my reservation that it would be a late arrival. When I arrived after midnight, the doors were locked and there was no attendant at the desk. I stood there for 15 min in the cold without a coat (I had just come from California) until another hotel guest came who had a key. If you are going to leave the front desk unattended put in a means to let someone know there is a guest at the front door. They said there was a bell but I never found it, a sign might have helped.

First room I was assigned to had a very strong smell of cigarrette, but I asked for a change and they did it promptly to a new room in very good condition. I enjoyed my stay.

Nice location. Very comfortable and accommodating service. Windows and floors were not cleaned. But all else was excellent.

Attended a seminar. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I was not very happy with the included breakfast. Went to First Watch restaurant on my second day in order to enjoy the breakfast. Probably would not stay at this hotel again.

Room was good. The problem was parking availability because of parking lot recoating. Also thought the person in charge of the hot breakfast was just plain lazy.

The hotel room was comfortable and clean. My biggest concern was security. We noticed a broken side door that was ajar late one evening and pointed it out to the front desk staff. She said the repair man had been called, however we saw someone working on the door the next afternoon. Was the door open all evening? The next day we saw a back door propped open with a basket while there was no staff around. The only other problem I experienced was with the treadmill, which was dated and non-functioning. The jacuzzi was out of order too, but I didn't intend on using it. Besides this, the location is good. The hotel is down the street from Polaris mall and next to the highway (which was why I was concerned about security).

Visited relatives in a nurseing home in Worthington. Room was clean and with good amenities.

[...]. Well, the heated pool was the broken down jacuzzi. Had been broken for some time according to the desk clerk. They put us in an occupied room. Bed had sheets with holes in them. TV was old school and got almost...wait for it...15 whole channels. It's been a long time since I was in a hotel that didn't get the Weather Channel. The staff was friendly, but I'll never go back.

Usually stay at this hotel and like the hot tub but this time it was broken and it will not be fixed for some time so may stay elsewhere next month

This hotel was very nice, clean and the breakfast was good. The hot tub was not working but we were only there for one night so that was OK.
