Excellent Value
Of the many positives this hotel offers, the staff is absolutely the high point. We were greeted warmly by everyone whether at the front desk, restaurant or in the halls. I can't speak for the pool since we stayed in December, but the work out room had a sauna and ample treadmills / weights. There were even complimentary earbuds in case you forgot your own. The downtown location is close to the Atheneum and walkable from the new Convention center. We walked to the Near North, but I'd recommend a cab for most people.

There are a number of great restaurants in the Near North, but I love dinner at Haiku . We know good Japanese food, and this is it. The wine menu has some great offerings, too.

Perfect location
We drove up from TN to see a couple of hockey games. The location was easy to find, and located close to everywhere we wanted to visit. The room was great, and the staff were excellent. The only thing that could have been better is if we had been notified when we were booking our hotel, that we would need to pay $23 a day for parking. It was reasonable. We just don't like surprise charges.

Outstanding
I have an excellent time at the hotel. The accommodations were a complete surprise much nicer than I expected and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The young men assisting at the front door were super friendly. When I go to Columbus again I will certainly stay at the hotel.

Nickels and Dimes
Overall, the hotel was nice, but they didn't tell us when we reserved about the surcharges. $20 per day to park in the garage? $13 per day for Internet? When I travel for business and stay in less expensive places, these things are free! Also, our room near the elevator suffered from a lack of soundproofing, letting us in on the conversations of an entire wedding party that saw fit to roam the halls from 10pm to 2am one night. The party wasn't the hotel's fault, but the lack of soundproofing was. I expected more.

Nice overall
Overall the hotel was nice. We did have issues with housekeeping where they didn't clean our room. We had to request fresh towels and toiletries, but they only brought towels.Check-in was seamless. The decor is nice. Our room didn't have a bathtub. Not good with a toddler. Like the Aveda products. The operator was a little curt. But overall a nice hotel [...]

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Easton Town Center has great shopping if you have transportation (<15 minutes on freeway). A large outdoor shopping and dining plaza. Also, Sunny Street Cafe is a nice place to have breakfast or lunch, which is less than 10 minutes away by car.

Great Staff and service with a smile
I met with Business associates in Colombus and visited the state capital, which was about 1 block away, the Staff was fantastic and the rooms were nice as were the resturant and bar, great place to stay and I will go back when I visit Colombus in the future. Roy Clausen

Nice hotel but tiniest bathroom ever!
We chose this hotel for it's proximity to our daughter's rental. The valet staff was extra friendly as was the staff at check-in. We were pleased with the size of the room and the bed but this room had one TINY bathroom. We've been all over the world and stayed in a whole gamut of hotels of varying star ratings and this was one of the smallest bathrooms ever, especially for the price! It's a business hotel but we only had 4 hangers in the room..had to request a few more and they brought us a dozen! Not sure why, but the maid decided she didn't need to change the bath linens on the second day she serviced the room. The real standout was the valet service. All of the staff in this service were very friendly, courteous and helpful.

Weekend trip
Very nice hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. However, we could hear the group next door laughing and talking which wasn't great. There should be free WiFi at such a expensive hotel.
