Just Ok
Valet was great and very friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Room service was another situation. I called to get three meals and three cups of coffee. I explained to them that our coffee pot was missing a piece and they did not offer to bring us a working coffee pot or to give us coffee to replace the coffee we couldn't make. Maybe the room service is not directly affiliated with the hotel but the girl I spoke to completely ignored what I said about the coffee pot. She could have at least told me to call the front desk. She was kind of rude. The gentleman who brought up our room service was very nice, even though he only brought up two waters and two sets of silverware for three meals. I do not enjoy giving bad reviews, but when I'm spending $200 for one night, I would at least like to get a cup of coffee and enough silverware for my guests.

Customer service was terrible!
We were asked to pay an additonal rate of $250.00. Part of that was suppose to be for a refundable deposit. Although we had paid online they did not show the credit card information and we had to pay again. When we checked out the following morning and the error had been corrected no one apologized. There was not any offers of a discounted room for our I convince. The front desk was awful.

Excellent Value
Of the many positives this hotel offers, the staff is absolutely the high point. We were greeted warmly by everyone whether at the front desk, restaurant or in the halls. I can't speak for the pool since we stayed in December, but the work out room had a sauna and ample treadmills / weights. There were even complimentary earbuds in case you forgot your own. The downtown location is close to the Atheneum and walkable from the new Convention center. We walked to the Near North, but I'd recommend a cab for most people.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
There are a number of great restaurants in the Near North, but I love dinner at Haiku . We know good Japanese food, and this is it. The wine menu has some great offerings, too.

Perfect location
We drove up from TN to see a couple of hockey games. The location was easy to find, and located close to everywhere we wanted to visit. The room was great, and the staff were excellent. The only thing that could have been better is if we had been notified when we were booking our hotel, that we would need to pay $23 a day for parking. It was reasonable. We just don't like surprise charges.

Outstanding
I have an excellent time at the hotel. The accommodations were a complete surprise much nicer than I expected and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The young men assisting at the front door were super friendly. When I go to Columbus again I will certainly stay at the hotel.

Overall, the hotel was nice, but they didn't tell us when we reserved about the surcharges. $20 per day to park in the garage? $13 per day for Internet? When I travel for business and stay in less expensive places, these things are free! Also, our room near the elevator suffered from a lack of soundproofing, letting us in on the conversations of an entire wedding party that saw fit to roam the halls from 10pm to 2am one night. The party wasn't the hotel's fault, but the lack of soundproofing was. I expected more.

Nice overall
Overall the hotel was nice. We did have issues with housekeeping where they didn't clean our room. We had to request fresh towels and toiletries, but they only brought towels.Check-in was seamless. The decor is nice. Our room didn't have a bathtub. Not good with a toddler. Like the Aveda products. The operator was a little curt. But overall a nice hotel [...]

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Easton Town Center has great shopping if you have transportation (<15 minutes on freeway). A large outdoor shopping and dining plaza. Also, Sunny Street Cafe is a nice place to have breakfast or lunch, which is less than 10 minutes away by car.
