Extreme makeover means updated rooms at this downtown Columbus hotel
The Red Roof Inn Columbus Downtown Convention Center finished a total overhaul of its guest rooms in 2010. Furnishings were replaced and technology updated. Rooms now have flat-screen televisions and free Wi-Fi. Continental breakfast is included. The hotel, near the Greater Columbus Convention Center, allows one pet per room. Kids under 17 stay free. Guests can take advantage of the free airport shuttle.

Not good!
Parking across the street. Lock your luggage if you leave it in your hotel room. Room didn't look as if it had been swept. Bed not comfortable.

Excellent Location for NHL game at Nationwide Arena
This hotel was only 1 1/2 blocks away from the NHL game at Nationwide Arena so we were able to easily walk there without the hassles of finding a place to park. There wasn`t a restaurant in this hotel, but there were almost every type of restaurant and bar/lounge possible within walking distance. Hotel was very clean, large rooms and the staff were absolutely wonderful and helpful. We would definitely make this our 1st choice of accommodations if we are ever in Columbus again.

Numerous restaurants as well as bars/lounges within close walking distance since the hotel doesn`t have a restaurant in it.

Red Roof Downtown Columbus #fantastic
ive stayed in a LOT of hotels and red roof inns. this was by far the nicest red roof I've ever been in in my life. and 10 years of steady traveling. looking forward to my way back to columbus. as this hotel will more thank likely be where I stay.

Great location for Downtown events
We had a great experience and a relaxing stay. The staff was extremely helpful the entire time. We had one small issue that the staff resolved immediately with extreme care and concern. You couldn't ask for a better location and value for any event in the downtown area. Thanks for everything!

Overall had a great experience. I was working with a very tight budget and haven't stayed at a Red Roof Inn in years and it was 10 X better than i remembered

Perfect for a short stay
Rooms were spacious and the design scheme and layout were modern and fresh. Cool sinks. Only wish there had been hand lotion with the other hygiene accessories. The pay-per-view did not work however.
