Features

The Ramada Columbus East Airport finished guest room renovations in 2010. Those renovations updated furnishings and brought the hotel's technology into the 21st century. Guests have Wi-Fi in their rooms as well as in the lobby. Other free amenities include plentiful parking that can accommodate trucks and RVs, use of the computer and printer in the business center, and access to the hotel's limited fitness center.

The hotel provides a free expanded continental breakfast. The hot entree rotates daily between omelets and bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage, and waffles and pancakes. The rest of the breakfast includes standard continental fare every day, such as bagels, muffins, pastries, fruit, yogurt, and coffee.

The continental breakfast is currently the only on-site dining option. The hotel's restaurant, currently under renovation, is scheduled to open in early 2011. The hotel provides a free airport shuttle, but only for guests who have booked a certain package or paid a certain rate.

When I walked into the lobby, the front desk had their cultural music blaring so loud I could barely hear what they were telling me. This was not a good first impression. However, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Don't stay long...

I won't bore you with the tedious details... Here are the good and bad points I came across. Good: - Room was clean - 16 (east/west)/ Broad st. has nearly anything you could want and it takes you right downtown headed west - Heater worked .. almost too well seemed like it was either full blast or off the temp setting didn't seem to do much Bad: - Hallways constantly smelled like weed - Not necessarily the best part of town for a family stay - Shower was just a little warmer than lukewarm even with the faucet turned all the way to hot - Noticed ants in the bathroom my second morning there (only stayed 2 nights) - Tv was damaged and barely operational, power button pushed completely in and remote only worked after pressing the power button 2 or 3 times hard - Wireless internet was intermittent at best... what can you ask for free though I would recommend you spend the little extra and stay somewhere else... just like everywhere else on the internet the pictures of this place can be deceiving.

Good enough

Tried an inexpensive hotel for a trip to the superbowl this year. This hotel was basically just a place to sleep for a night after a long drive. It was adequate, but not a place I would normally pick to stay. I would use this place again as a place to crash for a night if needed.

Ramada Inn

Is there anything more that can be said other than Ramada Inn, really. Slept at the foot of the bed with the use of towels rather than sheets or blankets due to the the reality of bedbugs. The plumbing was horrible as nothing seemed to drain properly. The room and its amenities were something out of the 70's, which even then would be considered terrible. Dining was even worse as they only accepted cash and no receipt - odd, and the meal was worse than sub-standard.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Bring your own, as even a sandwich would be better than having to eat within the hotel. The fact that O-bitz lists this place should tell you a great deal about O-bitz, what a horrible experience.

Never again

The room smell like cheap motel, and the cleaners star yelling in the hallway at 7:30 AM.
