Motel 6 Columbus North

Motel 6 Columbus North is a nice hotel. The room was very spacious. My only complaint was that the room had wood floors instead of carpet. The floor had been swept but it was not clean. Other than that issue, it was a nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who had a limited stay.

It was extremely noisy outside our room and I had to complain to management without any satisfaction

The room itself was ok, besides the walls being paper thin. I've seen better and I've definately seen worse. The outside was terrible, the parking lot was full of litter. Not only that my room was upstairs so as I climb the stairs I'm passing all kinds of trash. Needless to say I won't be back.

It's good for the price if your just staying one night, lock your car cause its in an unsafe area

Lots of drugs, alcohol and prostitution and the. Staff were unable to help

staff was very unfriendly and the room was not clean. the sheets had stains on them and very noisy. i was at the rt. 161 location. i mostly stay at the worthington location and i never have a problem.

It was a convinient location (just off US 71) for us to go to the Arnold Classic downtown Columbus and it was a great price. Unfortunately, I will not stay there again because the room was filthy dirty, especially the bathroom (which should be the cleanest). My socks we nearly pitch black after walking around for a few minutes! Plus, it was sold to us as a non-smoking room but the whole room smelled of smoke. Motel 6 needs to do much better on their management to check to be sure rooms are truly clean before selling rooms. They also need to at least use linens that are smoke-free and tell their staff to take an extra 5 minutes to clean the bathroom. We also only got 1 washcloth and 1 full size towel in our room.

I want to begin by stating that I usually am not too difficult to please, but my experience here was so bad I want to prevent it from happening to others. I have stayed at many hotels(both inexpensive and moderately expensive) over the last 20 years and my stay here rates as one of the worst. I didn't feel safe while checking in--the office was locked and I checked in through a bullet-proof window like you see in some inner city gas stations. I requested a nonsmoking room,their was a nonsmoking symbol on the door of my room, but when I entered the room it smelled very strongly of ciragette smoke. The room never warmed up even though I had the heat turned on. They claimed to have free coffee and there was no coffee pot in my room or in the office when I left at 6:30 in the morning. There was no clock in the room. There was so much noise between 12-3 that even if the smoke smell hadn't affected my sleep, the noise certainly did.
