Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Columbus North

Not good from check-in. We were given keys to a room that already had guests after having to wait an extra hour after normal check-in time. Our room was not the cleaniest and had a funky smell, might have allowed smoking before? Then I was charged the incidental fee for pillows there were missing from the bed. The manager was not friendly nor accomodating and ended up hanging up on me when I explained the situation with the wrong room key, and telling her that maybe housekeeping made a mistake during their "inventory" of the room since they were running behind the day we waited an hour to check-in.

The title is not an exaggeration. The room was dirty, with tons of grime around the baseboards and filth crusted in the hood above the stove. There were holes in the furniture, and the carpet was coming up off the floor. The smoke detectors were chirping upon my arrival, and the front desk employee removed them from the ceiling. A maintenance person replaced them the next day... and they began to chirp again as soon as I went to bed! This time, however, I had to wait FORTY MINUTES for a maintenance person to arrive to remove them again. Additionally, the phone and hair dryer did not work, and the hot water ran out on the one morning I wanted to take a hot bath. Finally, the hotel was exceedingly difficult to find, as it is located on a small access road marked by a tiny sign that is virtually invisible from the main road. Take this as a hint: DO NOT stay here!

Good for what I paid, but the whole facility was in need of updates (ex. the stairs to the upper rooms felt very weak and scary to step on)

This place has to be the best buy in the world! Huge room, full kitchen, good shower, close parking, big, hot breakfast--what else could anyone want? We will probably stay there every time we're in central Ohio.

I liked the modular grouping concept of the buildings. Although the modules closest to the interstate are almost unbearable due to truck traffic noise. Ask for the buildings furthest from the highway. The continental breakfast was great.

It is a very nice place to stay. Everything was clean and the rooms are very cozy. We enjoyed our stay there and will stay again when we are in Columbus. The bed was so comfortable which made the stay that much better.

I thought I had made a mistake selecting this hotel when we landed at the airport and could not get our rental car because they had closed. We took at cab to the hotel which was a bit of a drive, but the staff and the breakfast the next morning was totally worth the extra cost of the cabs. The room was fantastic and very comfortable for 4 of us. The mattress was a very welcome end to an exhausting day. I can't thank the staff enough and I would gladly make that mistake again it's worth the distance from the airport!!!!

Old place but fairly clean. Do not expect that somebody could come to your room to give you tylenol if you need in case of fever. Plenty of space in room itself.

The room was more than we expected. There was an eat in kitchen and we had a fireplace. The staff was extremly friendly and very helpful. The hotel was located by many things to do like dollar movies, bars, and resturants. I was pleased with our trip! I would totally recommend this hotel and we plan on going back!!!!

The hotel, the amenities, location, cleanliness and room comfort were perfect, you would think that you were somewhere like " Grande Vista" in Florida. I was very tired and cranky after 8.5 hours of driving to get there, but the staff who received us the night that we arrived was very courteous. Because of his service, my children and wife decided that we spend one more night there than originally planned. It was a thing of greater value than we paid for.
