Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Airport Columbus East

The staff were very friendly. We stayed in a studio. The interior was clean and very homey.

This is a great place to stay! After a long drive, our evening customer service representive at the hotel suite was very professional and friendly. We got into our suite in less than 3 minutes. The suite was very clean and welcoming. Love the fireplace, the kitchen, the sofa bed, the large bathroom and lots of space!

Do not stay here! We booked this hotel because of the $500,000 renovation and the Wyndham name, figuring it would be nicely updated and, of course, near the airport. It was in a not nice area right off the expressway next to a deserted Howard Johnson's. Maybe our room hadn't been worked on yet because there were two large fireplace tiles crashed on the floor, 2 lamps that would not turn on, the phone did not work and there was a hole in the wall. We couldn't get a wake up call because of the phone being out, and realized when we tried to find the airport it was a 15 minute drive-pretty far for an "airport hotel". (The room did have a new bed and bedding or it would have been a total disaster.) I have pictures of the place if anyone [...] would like to see what this room was like-filthy corners, holes and all. I did phone the desk from my cell phone and mentioned all these things. They thanked me but didn't seem overly concerned.

For the money, the suites were some of the nicest I've experienced. The happy hour included enough food that I didn't need to go get dinner elsewhere. The only downside was the location, a busy industrial/business strip, and kind of seedy in spots.

A pleasant surprise. Not much to look at from the road but the facility is spacious and the staff attentive.

they have an airport shuttle service that is convenient. Good Bob Evans restaurant across the street.

I completely enjoyed my stay. The room correctly fit the description and I had no troubles while there. It was exactly what we wanted. We just wanted to get away for a night.

we chose this hotel over similarly priced properties due to the promised "heated pool and hot tub", "fireplace" and "Business center with free internet access". when we arrived the pool and hot tub had permanent appearing covers on them. the desk clerk said "they are closed after labor day". looking at prior travelers reviews we find one from prior to labor day that complained of the pool being covered, making one suspect that the pool is not available at all. the "business center" is a small computer desk stuck in the corner of a small lobby. the computer had a sign stating it was not working. when we inquired when it might be fixed the desk clerk said "probably not until the technician comes the middle of next week". the fireplace is wood burning, but there is no wood provided so bring your own if you want to use it. the hotel is hard to find as it is on a small frontage road and has a small sign not well visible from the main road. the adjacent property as an abandoned howard johnsons hotel with all the windows missing and a debri filled grounds, like something out of a mad max movie. this is a subpar facility and is and embarrasment to the wyndham hotel name. as a comparison, the homewood suites i stayed in two weeks ago in eastern pa was excellent had a spacious lobby, a large free business center with two computers and printers, a working uncovered pool and hot tub, fitness center and cleaner better appointed rooms for the same price
