Extended Stay Deluxe Columbus - Polaris

You get to stay just a short drive from the stadium. Amazing location right in the Polaris mall complex with every form of eating establishment and a great mall right there. They state no breakfast on the weekends, but there was a very reasonable breakfast on Saturday morning.

Super friendly staff made my long series of business trips much more enjoyable. All the comforts of home...on the road.

Pictures on Orbitz look nothing like the hotel. The pics show a hotel that is modern and updated, but the actual hotel is dark and dingy. The green carpet throughout the hotel is worn and stained. The suites are cramped and full of dusty furniture.

We were on a campus visit to Ohio State University. What was missing, courtesy and professionalism. Our room was awful carpet dirt and stained, broken fixtures. We had late check in (oh my credit card had already been hit for the charge),when talking with the manager she said check in is no later than 8pm! REALLY!!!!

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Large size rooms.

Check-in was quick but not informative, the room we were staying in was in a part of the hotel that smelled very pungent of indian food the whole time we were there, a plus was that it was pet friendly however there was a cat living outside in a box by one of the doors and it was not a friendly cat especially with my dog, the fitness center is terrible with either broken or extremely squeeky equipment (no free weights), there is no breakfast on the weekends but a fridge in your room and a target next door you can go shop at, they were pretty laid back with check out so we were able to have a late check out our last day...overall an average priced hotel for mediocre service/amenities

It was clean and the staff was friendly. The guests next to me were a bit noisy in that the doors are very heavy and make a lot o noise when they close without assistance.

We needed a place to stay as a "home base" for a family visit. It was in a great location for us close to restaurants and shopping, plus right off the freeway to go everywhere in Columbus. It also gave us a quiet place to relax between some exciting family activities.

Hotel was just OK, very noisy room by the pool. The clerk charged my card for $374.00 for 1 night, and then said he corrected it. My account now has over $971.00 of charges on it for 1 night at $71.00. Day manager said she had fixed the problem and gave us 2 nights comp, but I get home and there is another charge of $295.00 on the card. Going to call bank and stop payment. Oh, by the way, the room was paid for through Orbitz when I reserved it.

In previous trips I stayed at another hotel in the immediate area, but changed to Extended Stay because it was of equal or better quality and the price was $30.00 less per night.
