Baymont Inn & Suites , North Columbus

Staff were professional but not trained to resolve problems. I was bitten THREE times by a spider on my second night. No staff, including the manager, responded to what could have been a life threatening incident. Despite numerous attempts to meet with manager, to date I am still suffering from the bites and no one from the hotel has responded.

My girl friend and I chose this hotel after a wedding because of its cheap price. We live in the area and we've stayed at other hotels nearby and have been happy with them. Not this time! On the elevator to the first room, there was another couple who we found was going to the same room. When the four of us arrived at the room, we knocked, and the person who was already in the room answered. Weird mistake? Hardly. We go back to the front desk and the staff was very apologetic and said they would "upgrade" our room free of charge. When we found our next room, we could hear the tv playing. We knocked and no one answered. So I tried the key and it worked. No one was in the room but the person's belongings (including their lap top) were sitting in the room. Again, we go back to the front desk and explain the situation. This time we receive a simple "I'm so sorry, the only room we have left is a smoking room." Needless to say, since we had been at a wedding all day, we did not care and took the room. This time it was unoccupied. The following morning I found 2 of mostly everything...accept large bath towels which there were only one and I did not notice it until I was done with my shower. I dressed quickly to get another towel so that my girl friend could take her shower as well. When I returned, I asked her if she would like me to make coffee (since there were coffee packets in the bathroom). She said yes but there was no coffee maker in the room! When we finally were ready to leave, we exited our room to find the hallway blocked by the maids and one of the maid’s children who would not get out of our way. Again, upon checkout, I received a simple "I'm sorry for your inconvenience last night. Thank you". If I were to be simply out of town on business, I would have been upset to say the least. But for this to happen on a night that was supposed to be a special surprise for the love of my life, I am LIVID! Oh and by the way, like I said we are from Columbus and know the town and this is NOT the best part of town and the staff reflects that. I am big on customer service and they get a negative on that one.

The Hotel fail to have my reservation, That I had to wait an hour before I finally got a room after paying again I am waiting for my refund.

This property was not very appealing once I got inside to the front desk. While the staff was very helpful, the front area, hallways and my room were dingy looking and needed brightening up. During the night, Columbus experienced a thunderstorm and a loud peal of thurder vibrated to room just enough to cause the door mirror in the bathroom to crash to the floor.

This hotel is in a seedy area and the hotel itself was definitely in need of attention. The carpets in the halls were stained, the carpet in the room was frayed and coming up in the doorways. The beds had thin box springs and mattresses. I've stayed at 2 star hotels that were of equal or less cost and they were much nicer.

I enjoyed the hotel very much. 'it was very clean the room was comfortable and the staff was very helpful.

Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast included fresh waffles and a large selection.

Went on the Baymont reputation and name but this is clearly managed by someone else! From reading earlier reviews, I think management must have changed fairly recently. The lobby and hallway floors were so stained and dirty. No air conditioning in elevators or hallways. The hallways smelled very badly. Were given an already occupied room at first. No cups for water or the coffee that was supplied. Looks like they refill or reuse shampoo bottles as ours was already used part way. Small, thin, pillows on the bed. The only good things was the friendliness of the front desk guy when we checked in and the air in the room worked great. The bed looked clean but the towels were debatable. The cereal at the breakfast was stale. Would rate this like a motel 6 at a 3 star price.

Trip was a quick overnight stay in the area. Room was clean and roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and that area was also clean. A good value for the price!
