BEST WESTERN PLUS Franklin Park Suites - Polaris

We loved our 2 night stay. Would stay here again. We loved the breakfast bar and pool.

Hotel room accommodations were average/adequate. PROS: (1) Living room separated from bedroom with double doors was great feature. Comfortable "mini-apartment" feel. (2) Friendly, helpful staff. (3) Breakfast variety included: pre-formed egg patties, link sausage, hash brown potatoes, cold cereal, yogurt, selection of mini-muffins, English muffins, regular & decaf coffee, variety of juices, selection of tea bags. (4) Complimentary coffee, tea, and cookies/brownies available in lobby in afternoon and evening. (5) In-room mini-refrigerator, microwave, and 4-cup coffee maker operated well. (6) Bed mattress (king size) was comfortable. CONS: (1) Dust accumulation on TV and furniture was very noticeable. (2) Bed pillows were flat and provided no support; worst pillows I ever experienced in any hotel. (3) Weight machine in the onsite exercise room was damaged and completely inoperable. However, to the hotel's credit, the Hotel Manager told me the entire weight machine was scheduled to be replaced soon and offered complimentary workout pass to Urban Fitness club directly across the street.

Summer time in Columbus. Broken air conditioner, when I called front desk they said I could open the window, and they were out of fans. I was literally melting, soak and wet from the stifling heat. When I woke the next morning and went to close the window I found there were no screens, and since I was on the first floor, I had just put myself in a very dangerous situation. My window was wide open to anyone who woud have wanted to step right in. I feel the front desk should have known this. It was very late and dark when I opened the window. Just didn't notice.

This place was a dump! I didn't get a good first impression when I first walked into the lobby and no one was there to wait on us. It was around 5:00PM and there were several people waiting to check in. Upon looking around the lobby I noticed pictures hanging on the wall that were crooked as well as a lamp shade that was crooked. I was hoping that this wasn't a bad omen. Anyway, our suite was absolutely disgusting!! I wish that I had taken pictures so that you know I'm not exaggerating. The couch and the chair had so many stains (red & white stains) that we (me, wife, & 3 children) wouldn't even sit on them. They were in such bad shape I’m not even sure a cleaning would have done them any good. They probably should have been discarded. The carpet was badly stained all throughout the suite that we wouldn’t even walk around barefoot. The walls had stains and splatter all over the suite. Our toilet ran continuously which was totally annoying during the night when you’re trying to sleep. There must have been a hornets nets either in our window or just outside the our window because we killed several hornets. When we told the front desk that we were checking out early they never even bothered to ask if everything was ok and said they couldn't give us a refund because we purchased through a third party. Anyway, do not stay here!!!
