Middle of the Cleveland Clinic campus

We made a weekend visit to Cleveland for entertainment, Rock Hall and dining. Overall it was enjoyable. Hotel is perfectly located for the Cleveland Clinic but not for our excursions. The 24 hr hotel valet service did a fine job parking and retrieving our car whenever we needed it. Our room with a king bed was fine. Stayed two nights, housekeeping did not show up in between.

Great venue for business travel

I was at the Cleveland Intercontinental for a business conference. I thought the rooms, the service, and conference accommodations were superior to most hotels I've been to. The only less than positive experience I had involved ordering room service that left a bad taste in my mouth (literally). Although it should be said that the hotel compensated my order without hesitation, and considering the quality of food at our conference I would say my meal experience was probably not a regular occurrence.

Beautiful place

We were able to stay at a beautiful hotel for a very reasonable price [...]. The location was great for visiting our son at Case Western Reserve University. Be aware that there are lots of fees, for example, parking (not bad at $24 per day flat) and charges for wi-fi, $4 for Snickers bar in wet bar, etc. We would stay again. Only bad thing was smell in hallways of old smoke and bad perfume.

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

There are tons of great places to eat in Cleveland, so skip the overpriced hotel fare unless you find it appealing.

Great Stay

The Intercontinental is immaculate and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is located amid the Cleveland Clinic's sprawling campus roughly three miles from downtown. My only wish would be for vending machines or a lobby shop that sold drinks and snacks - the mini bar prices are predictably astronomical and there are no convenience stores nearby.

Great for Weddings

The InterContinental staff was exceptional. Rooms were clean and comfortable with the perfect amount of space in the bathroom, which had both a tub and a stand up shower. Location was ok if you need to be close to the hospital. Wish there were closer food options.

My review of InterContinental CLEVELAND

The Hotel was a very nice hotel, however a little out of the way and you had to go through a seedy area to get to it. The beds were excellent and the hotel was very clean. I would stay there again but I would try to get a hotel closer to downtown though.

Beautiful place

The Intercontinental at Cleveland was an absolutely beautiful place! Although it is adjacent to the Cleveland Clinic, the purpose of our stay was purely pleasure, since we were attending Indians/Yankees baseball games. The room was lovely and the bathroom incredible! As with most cities, parking was an issue, but the valet parking attendants were very friendly and efficient, as were all of the hotel services conveniently located in the lobby. Everyone was most helpful and inviting. I would certainly stay at this hotel again when visiting Cleveland. We had a wonderful weekend!

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

If you are staying at this hotel for baseball games, although the hotel is less than four miles from Jacob's field, it's really not very walkable, since it's mostly an industrial area. You will pay for parking at the hotel and at any other attractions you visit. But the hotel is so beautiful, that it is worth it!
