Disappointing
Rooms are outdated, dark, gloomy. Toilet leaked, vending machine didn't work, and elevators weren't working properly. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly though.

Someone needs to be in charge
This place needs an effective manager. Elevators were not working when I arrived, and still were not fixed when I left the next day. Hotel full of loud partying guests on a weeknight, past 4am. Security had limited effect. WIFI was useless. Location was good, but $20 to park seemed high. Shuttle was friendly and available to take me to my meetings. If you are planning to party, this is your hotel, otherwise stay away or bring ear plugs. Day desk staff were very friendly, but results also matter. In the end, I paid hard earned money to stay in a hotel that I got almost no sleep in, and two terrifying rides in runaway elevators.

Customer Service :(
We had to be in Cleveland for the clinic and so did not need added stress of poor cust service. The security guard next door was WAY more helpful than the staff. Just not accomidating in any way. Never will I stay here again and will rethink Hilton Hotels in general

Though not perfect, decent amenities and a good location at a reasonable price
Cleveland offers a number of hotel options, and Embassy Suites is one to consider for some of its perks and its location. The hotel is located at the heart of the city, within walking distance of good restaurants, night life, stadiums, and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Upon arrival, we received a warm and friendly greeting. The check in took a little longer than expected, but overall it was a pleasant experience. It was a little confusing to find the parking lot, and parking to check in to the hotel can be challenging. We paid for a package that included parking, and the parking pass allowed easy access in and out of the parking ramp. The hotel reservation includes a "Manager's Reception" in the evening which has free drinks and a limited supply of snacks, some of which were quite stale. The room itself was huge. I opted for the "oversized" room, which was bigger than most one bedroom apartments. You could literally have a party with 20 people easily. The hotel does not have the atrium in the center like many other Embassy Suites, which was ok. The room was nicely decorated and homey feeling, and the bathroom had wooden cubbies for towels which gave it a more upscale feel. The heating/cooling system was a little loud, but it was no worse than similar hotels. The room included 2 flat screen HDTVs, a sitting area, and a bedroom that was separated from the other area of the suite. The bathroom included two doors with access from the living area and the bedroom. Our room was reasonably clean, although the carpet and walls were not perfectly clean. There was some sort of stain on the comforter. The pool/workout area was nice, although the chlorine was so strong that you can smell it from the elevator. The pool is a good size, and there is workout equipment on either side of the pool. The workout areas seemed to have a good selection of equipment. The hot tub is located on an elevated platform at the far end of the pool, and is somewhat small. The hot tub could probably only fit 6-8 people comfortably, which means that during peak times it may not be enough. The complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast was nice, although be mindful of the cappucino machine. We found out that spilling it on your skin will give you a bad burn, and the styrofoam cups are so small you are likely to get burned if you're not too careful. The breakfast was nice, although the only cooked to order option was eggs and omeletes. No pancakes or waffles. The cook was a bit on the loud/boisterous side, which was a little too much early in the morning, and it prevented the breakfast area from being the quiet eating retreat it could have been. The toaster was weak, and I had to run my toaster through it several times before it browned the toast. The breakfast is a very nice perk to Embassy Suites, and though this particular location was not as good as others I have been to (others offered more options if you don't want eggs), it was still a nice extra. Checkout was easy and I left feeling satistfied overall with the stay. I would stay here again and recommend it, but since there are many choices in downtown Cleveland, I might also consider/look into other options next time.

What a WONDERFUL hotel!!
This was our first visit to Cleveland...and there is NOT enough space here to write EVERYTHING we were impressed with. Cleveland in general is very underrated...the architecture of a lot of the older buildings... the cleanliness of the city... and the FRIENDLINESS of the people was...amazing. Embassy Suites was excellently located, and EVERYONE from the valet service, to the Greeter at the amazing breakfast to the chef and cooks who prepared 100's of made to order omelets were the most polite...friendliest people we have seen in the service industry in quite some time. We felt welcomed by everyone we came in contact with! The rooms were HUGE,CLEAN, well laid out and the PRICE through orbitz was fantastic!! All in all...we have very pleasant memories of Cleveland...and we WILL stay at the Embassy suites our next time there...and there will be a NEXT time.!

DON NOT MISS THE BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL...THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL FREE BREAKFAST!! AND We ate most of our meals at HAIRY BUFFALO...reasonably priced, close by and GREAT food! Try the venison burger...you'd never know the difference between it and beef and less than HALF the fat!

Stopover
We arrived early but were accomodated in quite a short time and pleasantly. We had a suite which was spacious although a little less lounge and more bedroom would have been good. The breakfast was very good and cooked to order.

Sisters Getaway
The hotel was a great location, close to Progressive Stadium, the Flats and the Theater District. The best amenity was the shuttle which transported us to our destinations within 2 miles so we didn't have to worry about finding the place and parking. We went to the Improv and on the Nautica Cruise and checked out the Theater District. The drivers were prompt and cordial. Complimentary Happy Hour and Breakfast were most enjoyable. Great food and more than you could eat for breakfast. Great atmosphere on the 5th floor for gathering.
