Millennium Hotel Cincinnati is connected to the Duke Energy Convention Center and is also convenient to stadiums of both the Reds (baseball) and Bengals as well as museums. This pet-friendly hotel has a rooftop pool that offers guests outstanding views of Cincinnati during warm-weather months.

Millennium Hotel Cincinnati
Hotel has gone downhill from my stay in 2005. The only person that showed great customer service was the valet employee. The front desk was rude and the gentlemen was rude when he told me I had come downstairs to have my card swiped for internet access vs. explaining why he needs me downstairs. The room had a lot of issues. First the interior door handle was rusted and room had a aged and worn look. The Hotel still has tube TV's and my room's TV had a broken of power button and kept powering off. The bathroom was nasty with soap scum on the shower head. The tiles had mildew stains. The Sealing had patch work done with wallpaper bubbling. The room fixture's had dust that was unreal. The room's wallpaper peeling with carpet looking real worn. I was disappointed and sad that this hotel has gone downhill. The front desk associate stated to me that I can express concern but will be of no use, since the hotel don't care and nothing will be done to fix the issues.

Disappointed in DSM
Unbelievably BAD experience...!!!
In all of my traveling around the world, I have NEVER encountered anything like this!! DISASTER!!! The first room I was put in was unmade--bedding and towels on the floor-- and had condom wrappers in the trash!! (Just GROSS...) Someone had obviously smoked in the next room they put me in, even though we had to sign a "no-smoking waiver." The hotel was full for a convention, & I unfortunately remained in this room and brought home a suitcase that reeked of smoky clothes. Housekeeping did not leave extra toilet paper in the room or change the roll, so I ran out in the middle of the night. Also, I had to keep fixing the toilet as it would run. On the day that housekeeping made up my bed, I retired at night to find a "lump" in it...reminiscent of "The Princess and the Pea." I dug down under all the covers & sheets to the bare mattress to find a Cheeto (corn chip). When I called the front desk about this, they actually asked if it was MY Cheeto!!! As I was going to the convention on the last day, the fire alarms went off and the hotel was evacuated. Of course, we could not use elevators, but I tried to use an escalator as I had had recent foot surgery--forgetting that the escalator had been broken for the last couple of days. I asked to speak with the head manager before I checked out. I was very polite and told him I wanted to make him aware of my experience. He said I must have arrived with "a black cloud over my head" and offered to comp me two nights. The experience was disappointing to say the least. I was very surprised that a chain which has hotels in places like Dubai would be this bad. I honestly wish I could have written a favorable review.

Short drive from hotel
The Newport Aquarium and Hofbrauhaus Restaurant across the river were absolutely wonderful. All ages will marvel at one of the finest aquariums in the country, with everything from fish, to sharks, to frogs and an aviary. I can't wait to return!! The Hofbrauhaus is an authentic German brewery with incredible German food, beer, and a band for entertainment. The food was SO good, I took the leftovers back to the hotel and had them for dinner the next night!!

Sad stay
This was my first time staying at this hotel. I pull up to the hotel and first thing I see is a sign for valet parking $22. On the desription of the hotel, it never stated there was a fee for parking, and $22 is a bit pricey, but there is no where closer to park. So you have no choice but to let them park your car for you. I had a 20 minute wait to sign in, I use my debit card to pay for my room. They tell me, since I'm using my debit, I'll have another $50 fee added onto the bill, and once the charge for my room is cleared, I'll be reimbursed the $50, but it'll take 14 business days. I had to sign a waiver saying if we smoked in the room, there was another $250 fee. After all this is done, my key wouldn't open the door. We had to get another key. We get in, check the room out. We are hungry so we look at the book showing what kinda food is available, I must say, the food was very pricey. A bottle of water was $3.50, I'm not use to paying that kinda prices. We were able to locate a Arbys for lunch, then found a CVS to buy a few things for snack and breakfast. I was surprised there was no shuttle for this hotel. With the high prices they charge, they should definately have a shuttle.

There's a Arbys a short distance from the hotel to help feed people on a budget. Also, there's a CVS and a Walgreens, close by so you can pick up water, soda and snacks.

$Charge for use of Business Center. Horrible coffee in "Bistro on Elm". Will never stay at this hotel again. Room Service not 24 hrs.

Bad experience
Our room was not ready and they wanted to downgrade us to double beds. I argued with them and the Marques at the front desk got rude. Beware they charge you for parking which is not stated on the site. Room decor is very outdated. Was suppossed to be a relaxing experience but was stressful. Would recommend any place around it but stay away. Check in took 30 minutes or more.
