A nice stay.
The room was clean and bigger than I expected. The chairs seemed like they could use an update along with the TV. We had a corner room which I wasn't happy about at first, but then I realized that we only had neighbors on one side of us and we had a nice view of fountain square and other parts of the city. The people at the front desk were nice when we checked in and out, but that was the only contact I had with the staff. The location was nice and within walking distance to everything we needed. If I could get a deal like I got for this stay, I would stay there again.

The Rock Bottom Brewery was a great choice for dinner Saturday night and even lunch on Sunday. There aren't many eating places open downtown on Sunday so beware of that before you go.

Appreciator of the Period
This hotel is a fabulous example of American Art Moderne (or deco) design, and a thrill to walk through the lovingly restored public spaces. I've stayed here several times, and the most recent found me with a shower whose water would NOT heat up unless I started running it 10 full minutes before, or more. It also took them a long time to find my luggage (sent ahead) and get them to my room. These are probably quibbles because in other stays, none of this was in evidence.

updated and upgraded!
recently refurbished rooms a big plus. Orginal 1930's room sizes have been enlarged to today's standards, with new bathrooms and plumbing. Main spaces of the hotel are as elegant as ever, this hotel is as grand as it gets, from the huge dining room and dramatic staircases to the rare wood paneling and the gold tinted mirrors. any fan of 1930's design should stay here once. staff very good and attentive.

Family weekend
The hotel was ok. It was a bit confusing getting in and out of the hotel itself, there are so many different entrances and exits. Our room overlooked an ugly rooftop with heating and air units. The location was great. We were able to easily get around by taxi and trolley.

A very nice place for a get away !
When planning my short "pampering" trip I researched a lot of hotels before choosing the Netherland Plaza. After booking tickets to several events, I quickly became aware of the bed bug problem in Cincinnati. It was a GREAT concern for me. Although I found no reports of these critters at the Netherland Plaza, I went prepared to find them should they be there. I had my magnifying glass, flashlight, tape, and bed bug proof ziplocks for clothes and luggage. Upon arrival I took the room apart. I am happy to say that I found NO BUGS or signs that any had been there. I relaxed and enjoyed my 3 night stay very much. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL! Yes my room was a little small as was the bathroom, but that certainly did NOT make my stay unpleasant. My room was on the 27th floor and the ride up in the elevator took a little extra time, but that just gave me the opportunity to meet many new people. I was there to experience a peaceful get away from my very stress filled life. MISSION ACOMPLISHED!! The decor was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the staff could not have been more gracious! I was also so pleased with the efficiency and friendliness of the valet parking staff. They were great! All in all, it was just what I needed, and I could not have enjoyed it more. Everyone has the need for some pampering now and then. If you find yourself in need of feeling "special,"The Hilton Netherland Plaza is certainly the place to go. ENJOY!!

The smallest room I have ever stayed in!
I was staying in the Netherland becuase I had stayed there once before and thought the hotel was great! to my surprise I am sorry to say that my second stay maybe my last stay! The problem was with my room! It was clean enough and nice enough it just wasnt big enough for two people. The room is so small I could not walk around the bed without turning to the side and literally squeezing between the end of the bed and the tv armoire. I was completely dissatified and will not be visiting this hotel again
