Attended funeral of sister

I stayed here because o the price. I would not stay again because of the smell. I must have nonsmoking room and they told me that the room offered was just that. However, the first room I examined smelled of smoke. The next room was just as bed. We sprayed air freshener to be able to stand it. I know they are renovating it - this is long past due. There was noise in the night which may have been the workers. Great location for us but awful room.

It's Getting Better

This is the second time that I have stayed in this hotel and although it is improving there is still a lot of stuff that needs to change. The rooms need to be cleaner and not smell like mildew, our television did not work the entire three days that we were there, and the iron board was broken. We did get a new iron bored, however they could do nothing about the television. Room service only cleaned our room one time the entire three nights that we stayed there also. Overall, we just stayed out of the hotel as much as possible. Thank goodness I have a lot of family in Cincinnati.

Cincinnatti

The Howard Johnson inn was okay. The house keeping really wasnt great because they didnt come into the hotel room until one of the last days. It smells kinda weird but if your just there too have fun and not trying to stay in the hotel then its great place to stay. The pub beside it has the best ribs and you can even get it delivered. The price for the hotel was worth it.

Hotel stuff tried to resolved....

Ho-JO Inn - Cincinnati is located city but quiet and convinience location. However, first trouble was my room occupied by over stay people and I realized when I stood up in front of the door with room key in my hand. I understand it because of Do not distarb plate was hung on the door knob. Hotel stuff found out cause of problem about 10 minuits later after I claim.Pproblem was missing towls for both of our rooms. Third problem was something special smell and not enough light up at halls.... Some room door design were different, it makes me something nervus some reason. Hotel stuff tryed to make me happy, but situation did not make me happy.

needs work!

The staff was very friendly. Our room was non smoking but you could smell smoke the second you opened the door. The air conditioning barely worked. We had no hot water. The tv appeared scrambled every time we turned it on. The pool appeared clean but the area surrounding the pool and hotel had litter all over the place. I didn't feel comfortable where it was located as far as safety. I really wanted to just leave.

Will never revisit

Check in was fine. We had a non smoking room on the second floor. To get to the room we had to pass through second-hand smoke in the hallway. When my husband and child went down to the vehicle they had to were subjected to the smell of smoke from cigarettes. The smell started coming under the room door and caused us to cough and our throats to burn. We complained to the front desk and was told there was nothing we could do about it. The safety locks on the doors were removed, there were stains on the carpet and on the walls. We didn't spend the night. My kids were coughing too hard and did not feel safe to stay there.

Bad

Our expirence was very bad. Our room was very dirty, with the exception of the bathroom. We had booked and paid for the room for two nights so we had to stay. After leaving for a funeral the first morning we returned to find that the maid had came into our room and removed the sheets but did not replace them. Nothing else had been touched. The air cond was broke as was the internet. The staff there was VERY nice, they did the best they could with what they had. After moving to another room, the same problems still existed. I will never stay at another HJ ever. If you must stay here ask for a room close to the lobby, they seem to be nicer and eat at the the rest. next door it is wonderful!!!

Friendly atmosphere

My overall say was wonderful, the staff was extremely pleasant, but the bedding was not fresh upon arrival. I did request for some clean and the did.
