BEST WESTERN Clermont

Our room was adequate in size and cleanliness. The reason for the one star is that my husband and I came home late one night to find our room door wide open. The layout of this hotel is such that the rooms are totally accessible to the street and we were terrified having to walk into our room not knowing what or who could be inside. Once we realized that all our belongings were inside and untouched, we went down to the lobby where the girl working seemed perplexed and generally unconcerned. The following day my husband spoke to the manager who had a nonchalant "well what do you want me to do about it" attitude. When my husband simply requested that he wanted the manager to tell him that he and his pregnant wife were safe in his hotel he just replied "I don't know what you want me to say." After the threat of an early checkout, the manager sent someone up to run a scan on the doorlock and determined that the maid was the only one to access the door that day. The manager then told us we would get half off which we were somewhat satisfied with being that we did not get any maid service for the remainder of our stay because we did not feel safe allowing her to come in. Turns out, the manager only felt that half of one day (less than 50 bucks) was adequate compensation for their incompetence and apathy in dealing with the situation. Maybe we watch too much Dateline or are paranoid about our safety being from New York City but I think making a customer feel safe is the bare minimum that these people should have done after this unfortunate incident. Evidently, that is not important to Best Western. Avoid this hotel. 

We arrived to the hotel at 3:45 pm...opened our room door and it reeked of cigarette smoke. We called the front desk and asked for a new room, they refused to change our room. The second problem was we were assigned a handicapped room that only had a small shower with a fixed bench. It was impossible for us to shower together. The staff was rude and not willing to accommodate us.

We traveled to Cincinnati for a mini-vacation & wanted a centralized location between the aquarium, zoo, & Kings Island. The location was perfect, but that's about it. The hotel was a motel, which was not what we anticipated based on price & pictures online. The room smelled like mildew upon arrival. Also there was water all over the bathroom floor & we discovered that the ceiling had a gaping hole in it over the shower & was dripping all over the place. The hotel offered only to look at it in the morning. It was worse in the morning & we were finally moved to another mildew smelling room. No one offered though to help move us to our new room across the parking lot or even gave us a luggage carrier. So we showered & left for Kings Island for the day & upon arrival we discovered that no one came in to clean/tidy the room. [...] We always have good luck staying at Best Western's [...], but this experience was one I had to share in hopes that no one else has to endure what we did.

I was pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. Even my wife could find nothing to complain about. (And that's saying a lot) Everything you could have possibly needed was right where it should have been. First class all the way. Loved the pool!

Hotel was fine. Room was a little small and the bathtub needed cleaning esp to the floor of it. Bed was comfortable. Easy to get to eating places.

The stafff was very pleasant. The room was clean and well maintained.

The hotel offered complimentary breakfast. It was excellent! We had lots of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean and another bonus was, our room was next to the Lobby, which made our stay very convenient. It was like going to our own kitchen to have breakfast. Superb! Best Western Clarmont hotel is highly recommended! Super 5-star service.

for the price it was just what we expected nothing fancy, below average breakfast

Nice and clean, located within 7 miles of riverbend music center
