A Must See Historical Building!
We stayed here for the easy access to Akron Children's Hospital, and down town Akron. The hotel is a one of a kind place! The rooms are round because they are old grain silos , and they are also well furnished, it takes a few minutes to soak it all in that you are actually standing in the old Quaker Oats Factory. The food here is absolutely wonderful! A hot complementary breakfast is included, and there are 3 places to chose from for lunch & dinner that are attached to the hotel. Our son was very excited about the Trackside Grille, because you can actually eat in a train car, the food is great, really affordable and well portioned for the price. There is a downside to the Quaker Square Inn, the Hotel pool has been drained and therefore no one can enjoy it.

Time-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
If you're going to Akron Children's Hospital, use Bowery St., it takes you there in about 5- 10 minutes depending on traffic. ALWAYS use the Bowery St. parking Garage, you can get your parking fees waived sometimes, you'll have to ask the Hospital staff about Free Parking.

The hotel and staff were great. My only disappointment, was the pool and hot tub were no longer in operation and it was not advertised as such.

Akron Family Restaurant was a wonderful supper opportunity. Be prepared.....the portion size is large enough for 2 people. Good food and terrific service.
