Unexpected Modern Suite

I had some business in the areal that kept me overnight. I checked on line and found the hotel. I booked the two room suite. I must say that I was quite happy with the accommodations. The room was clear, well appointed with flat screen TV's, the bed was extremely comfortable. All in all it was a very good experience. This come from someone that spends at least 75 bed nights on the road.

Almost But Not Quite Great

Mixing work/leisure in Akron, Ohio was made a little easier because the hotel is perfectly located (central to shopping/restaurants). The hotel is past its greatest glory which could explain the pet friendly policy; however, our room was clean and comfortable. The biggest drawback would be the late night noise levels. Don't plan on a quiet weekend getaway from about 10:30 pm on there was constant noise in the halls and club music from a reception that lasted into the early hours of the morning. All that said, we would still stay again.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Numerous shopping options within minutes of the hotel including a very nice mall directly across from the hotel along with a variety of restaurants to fit any budget.

A little bit short

The room was ok but it had no fridge and the toilet was loose and wobbled a lot. It was definately not worth the 200 a night I spent. The continental breakfast (free at most hotels) was $12 and hot was $19 so a bit pricey. I would not spend the money to stay there again. We left feeling a little bit shorted.

Overall pretty good

the overall experience was good. We stayed 2 nights, the second night at around 11p there was a very loud family in the hallway. Also, now 2 days later and I have a pending charge of $50 for an unknown reason. Nothing extra was used.

Standard business hotel

This hotel is a decent stay with no frills. It is an older hotel that is darkly decorated, has old furniture and you can hear the adjoining rooms' televisions going on at the same time. I was deciding between this hotel and a nearby Hamptons Inn which is an average business hotel but is newer. I thought the Hilton brand would make this a better hotel but it wasn't.

Returned to Ohio to visit friends and fm

We have been Fairlawn, Ohio residents for a number of years but left 3 years ago and moved to Hilton Head. We came to town to assist with a family illness and visit with friends.
