A terrific hotel, great staff and unbeatable location!!!

I have stayed at this hotel many times. I am always greeted by so many of the same friendly faces it feels like a home away from home. The location is in the center of dowtown historic Saratoga Springs and you can literally park your car...for free... and walk anywhere you want to go. They just added an outdoor patio with a firepit where the hotel offers smores and tapas. Wonderful! The GM interacts regularly with the guests and is a truly hospitality-minded individual. In my opinion, this is the best hotel choice in Saratoga Springs!

Room was So-So, Wish I hadn't Ate!

OK, the room did not have privacy curtains to close to block out the lights from the pool and exercise room across the way. Slept in my clothes to keep from scaring folks who could see in my room thru the thin sheer drapes! Dinner at the in hotel rest, was terrible and terribly priced. Undercooked steak, cold baked potato and chilled broc. They did offer to re-cook, told then to forget it. Would not stay again!

Great Location loud elevator.

The location is great if you are going to the racetrack and close for you to walk into town without having to drive. Staff was nice. Bar was nice and quiet and the bartender was very nice. The room was nice and a nice size but we were located next to the elevator and it made noise all night. It was really pretty annoying. Maid knocked several times on our last morning even after I told her I was checking out soon. We got a great deal because it was Labor Day. I have seen what they charge during the middle of race season and I don't think I would pay that amount.

Customer Service is EVERTHING!

The location, the room were EXCELLENT. I arrived at 10:30 a.m. - was told to come back at 2:00 p.m. I came back at 3:30 p.m. Room still not ready. They gave me a breakfast pass, but I was exhausted and needed to be in my room! Then they billed me instead of [...]. If they can get the front desk staff better trained, the hotel itself would be fine. Oh yes, the elevator broke twice during weekend. Smile.

Entertainment tip: Long walk from hotel

The hotel is perfectly located for Saratoga Springs. I took my car, but a long walk would be fine to reach restaurants, entertainment, et al. It is a straight shot by car on Broadway to Skidmore College which was my destination for graduation.
