Bathroom sink had disgusting yellow stuff -- I had to clean it myself. Phone was filthy … some kind of white flaky stuff in cradle for ear section of receiver. One of the double beds had no mattress cover. But mattresses were evidently new … still
had plastic packaging on one mattress and both box springs. We were on the far side of a block of rooms and could not get wifi. We were not in Saratoga specifically for Race Track, but guests who appeared to be Racing enthusiasts seemed quite satisfied.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Long walk from hotel
Caffe Lena … historic coffee house with musical entertainment. We were there to see a folk group.
I booked a one night stay while I was in town for a wedding. The price was reasonable, the room was tidy and the bathroom was clean, however, there was nearby construction of some sort that started at 7am on a Sunday, in addition to other loud
nearby guest partying until 4AM the same night, making for an unpleasant sleeping experience.
For our two night-stay I experienced headaches from the very foul odor in our room. On the brighter side, the bed was a good firmness, the water in the shower hot. On Sat. about 8 a.m. my husband, John slipped on the ice outside the lobby area. He
landed on his back and was quite bruised the entire weekend, not being able to dance(let alone walk, without limping)at the Dance Flurry the entire weekend. The accident was witnessed by the very nice Korean manager who immediately appllied rocksalt to the icy area. I'm sure it was very difficult to keep up with taking care of all the ice and snow.
