Business Trip

Would recommend Tue, Aug 18, 2015
This is a good location for my downtown business, and is in the older part of the city. I love the staff, which makes up for the facility itself. Dragging luggage down long corridors and stairs is a challenge, and the heating/cooling a bit on the difficult side to control.

Clean and Comfortable

Would recommend Tue, Oct 8, 2013
We enjoyed our stay at the East Ave Inn and Suites. The room was very clean and the bed and furniture comfy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as well. We stayed in the "kitchenette" suite because we needed to cook our own food due to food allergies. The kitchenette only had a microwave and mini-fridge and no burner or stove so we just had to make do with a hot plate and wash dishes in the bathroom. The hotel is still under some major renovation, building a banquet room and restaurant and finishing up some room renovations. I would love to stay there when it is all done. They have a homemade waffle maker in the breakfast room along with coffee, tea cocoa, bagels, cereals, and fruit. The homemade waffle was off the hook delicious~!

Dining

This hotel is right in the restaurant district. It has a very nice ambiance, even at night. People seem to be enjoying themselves walking around the neighborhood and discovering all the pubs and restaurants. The Rochester Science Center is very close as well as The George Eastman House. Both are very worthy places to check out.

Excellent Location

Would recommend Thu, Jul 11, 2013
My stay here was excellent. The rooms were all clean, and well kept, if a little smaller than what I'm used to. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many different locations and nightlife in rochester. And if it wasn't in walking distance the staff offers a shuttle to take you and pick you up from anywhere you want to go.

Nightlife hint

Temple Bar and Grill. Short walk west of the hotel. Great Food and Saturday nights you get karaoke going that is definitely something to be seen.

Great location! The bathroom was small for the 4 of us. Our room door did not close on its own therefore we inadvertantly left our room door wide open when we left for dinner. The only thing taken from our room was 2 bottles of wine!

A wonderful stay in Rochester, NY

Would recommend Tue, Oct 30, 2012
I was very satisfied with my stay in the "East Avenue Inn and Suites". They have recently (looks like it) renovated some of their rooms and they look great now. The size of the room, the furniture, the cleanliness were way above the grading of this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. The location of this hotel is very good. You are in the middle of East Avenue, with lots of pubs and downtown if you turn right when exiting hotel premises, or with great houses and museums if you turn left. I loved Rochester, and did not even realized that it has so much to offer.

Attractions

One must visit the George Eastman house and museum, if not for the love of cinema, then simply to see a beautiful house and the gardens.

a dump

Would not recommend Tue, May 8, 2012
Though the staff was friendly and the location close to Eastman, this is no two-star hotel... 1 at best. The furnishings, walls, bathroom...all of it was in very poor condition. HOWEVER, it is being remodeled, so maybe it will be nicer in the future. I should have paid no more than $50 for a room in this shape.
