Hotel was tired

We arrived early at 1PM (checkin 3PM) no rooms were ready, asked for a call when our room would be ready and left for lunch, we returned at 4PM (no call) and finally the room was just done. Upon arriving we had doubts as to wether the sheets had been changed, the bed was uncomfortable and the linens were poor quality. We tried the complimentary breakfast once and after that we were coffee only people. We are not usually that particular but once was enough and when we return it wouldn't be here.

Quick trip to Rochester

The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. I can't say anything but good things about them. The rooms were comfortably furnished - great TV, nicely made beds (no bedspreads which I appreciate and triple sheets so that the blankets are encased) and reasonably clean. The mattresses were good but the pillows, while numerous, were really lumpy. In all a good place to stay for a quick stay.

Sleeping optional

If you are on the 1st floor, you are in for a long night/early morning. The floor boards on the 2nd floor are paper thin. It literally sounds like you are trapped below deck on a pirate ship. Each and every step is amplified - preventing sleep.

rochester visit

i thought the hotel was nice and quiet but shabby and cheap as well. there was no mattress pad on the bed which made it uncomfortable to sleep in. also the amenities were not very generous and the breakfast was a joke. we were in an efficiency suite with NOTHING in the kitchen. not a spoon or plate. why bother having a kitchen if there is nothing in it?

no rest for the weary

We stayed at this hotel for four nights last week. The first night we were in a first floor room and all night we were kept awake by noise from the room above. The floor squeaked terribly and we heard each foot step. The staff apologized explaining that the floor joists are wood and shake and they moved us to the second floor. That went ok for 2 nights but on the fourth night our whole room shook when some little kids ran around in the next door room. They stayed up til after midnight. So, to sum up, the floors squeak and the walls are paper thin so even the second floor can be very noisy. The staff is very nice and breakfast is fine, but the building is dreadful. We heard other guests complain to the staff many times, so we were not alone in our opinion. This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in from a noise point of view. The fifth night we moved on to another hotel.
