ESA Rochester-Henrietta

Checked in @ 1:45 am after a long drive. The clerk was very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking spaces and not a long walk to room. The room was spacious and in good shape. We went right to bed. Awoke to find that the complimentary coffee was there but there was no carafe to brew into. There was no hair dryer also. Other than those issues it was comfortable,convenient,and not expensive. The staff were great. Thanks

We needed a practical, pet friendly place in Rochester NY to attend graduation at RIT. The Extended Stay room was so convenient! It was close to RIT; had any food chain restaurant near by that you could think of; was pet friendly; the kitchenette was just enough to make everything easy and the staff was friendly. Rochester was quite charming as well.

When I booked my room I requested that I have a NON-SMOKING room and apparently that wasn't adequate! My room was on the third floor which is the SMOKING floor. When I exited the elevator it was as if I entered a bar or casino. It was disgusting and unhealthy! I wheeled down the hallway as quickly as possible hoping my room would be a place of relief. But, no not the case! Actually the ventilation system must feed back and forth between the rooms. It was as if someone was actually smoking in my room which made it difficult for me to breathe! It was the worst night in a hotel that I ever experienced! When I got home all my clothing, luggage and sleep apnea equipment reeked of smoke and STILL does!! Disgusting!!Of course I requested that the room be changed to a non-smoking room and was told that that preference went to the quests that paid their full price [...]. This stipulation should be noted when booking a room I was also told that if I had called in advance they would try to grant my preference, but again I was not aware of that stipulation. As for the rest of the hotel I can't rate. I checked in at 11pm and out by 8am and I couldn't wait to leave!I really feel that you should look into a better ventilation system especially when you put a non-smoker who requested a non-smoking room on a smoking floor.

Non-smoking room not guaranteed even though there was nothing about it on the web site. Room smelled of cigarettes and other burnt things. Mattress was hard and uncomfortable. In addition, the pillows were of the cheapest kind and not supportive at all. Kitchenette floor was sticky and gross. Besides cheap towles, the bathroom had soap, tissues, and TP. You get what you pay for. I won't stay there again.

we appreciate the quiet atmosphere of the area, very interesting for vacation.

It was dirty and the staff was unhelpful when we asked for another room. I felt as if we were bothering her. We decided not to stay another night and they wouldn't give us our money back.

I visit my Dad at least four times a year and Extended Stay is where I stay. Either location is good, but the Henrietta location is the one that always has available rooms. They have recently made some upgrades (i.e. photos on the walls, red painted hallways, faux-hardwood floors, new carpet, new drapes) and it really looks great! The next upgrade they need to do is the bathroom and kitchenette. I do love having a fridge in the room, but I always seem to forget to bring stuff for my usual midnight snacking. But, Tops Supermarket is just down the street and open all night long...wine coolers, here I come! I've never had a problem with the staff, they always have tons of towels and washcloths, and it's just off the highway.

I went to this hotel for some peace and quiet and was able to find just that. The room was quite large. I was only away for a weekend, but this room would allow you to stow a large amount of luggage out of the way and still have considerable breathing space. The decor is a bit dated and a little worn, but its decent. The tub wasn't super clean but the rest of the room was pretty well maintained. The property is well maintained and there are a multitude of restuarants around. It's also right off the expressway.

The extended stay was perfect for my needs. It was cost effective, great location, the staff was extremely helpful and I loved having a full kitchen so I could cook and not have to spend a lot of extra money on meals.
